America produces sulfur. The problem is that too much of it is being shipped overseas while American fertilizer producers struggle to access affordable supply.

Keeping more sulfur here at home would help support American jobs, strengthen domestic fertilizer production, and ensure farmers have access to the crop nutrients they need.

American sulfur should support American farmers first.

Last week I attended the NDSC Policy Summit. What a treat to learn from people who have been doing this work for longer than I have been on this earth. An even bigger treat was to hear from some amazing self advocates. I am so very grateful to all the staffers who received us, listened to our why’s with curiosity and empathy and some even shared a little of themselves and their loved ones with us! I realize I have so much more to learn, but as we were reminded throughout those 2 days; “Advocacy is a marathon, not a sprint”. @ndscongress #downsyndrome #theluckyfew #disabilityadvocate

Alzheimer’s Project is proud to join more than 525 advocates, researchers, and clinicians calling on Congress to follow the bipartisan leadership of Congressman Neal Dunn, M.D., Congressman Buchanan, Congressman Gus Bilirakis, and Congressman Aaron Bean and pass the #ASAPAct. This legislation would help expand access to emerging tools for earlier Alzheimer’s detection.

Earlier diagnosis gives families more time to plan, understand their options, and connect with support.

And support is available now. Alzheimer’s Project provides free respite, support groups, education, and guidance, including at our two newest Day Respite locations: Bethel AME Church and Capital Health Plan.

232 cosponsors for the SAFE Act.

Momentum is building across the country, and across the globe, to protect America’s wild and domestic horses. Through The Lost Horses campaign, we are proud to advance this work and help create lasting change.

Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA) has now cosponsored the legislation, bringing the total to 232. She joins original sponsor and tireless equine champion Congressman Vern Buchanan (R-FL).

The next few weeks are crucial. The House returned August 31, and the Senate returns September 14. Transportation authorization expires September 30, with an extension through December 11 proposed.

WBF and our coalition partners led the effort to move core SAFE Act language out of committee in the bipartisan transportation bill. Now we need continued support as it awaits consideration by the full House.

What can you do, right now? 
1. Send a message to Congress in two minutes at www.losthorses.org. 
2. Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your Representative and both Senators. 
“Hi, I’m _____, a constituent from _____.” “Please cosponsor, if needed, and support the SAFE Act, H.R. 1661 in the House and S. 775 in the Senate. Please help end horse slaughter and the export pipeline. Thank you.” 
1. Are you part of AHA, AQHA, APHA, ApHC, or another breed association? Ask its position on the SAFE Act, and why. Tell them the slaughter pipeline must close. 
2. Kids and teens, handwrite a letter to Congress. Your voices cut through in a remarkable way!

The hospital lied to me and blocked me , their so called “investigation” was complete rubbish to keep me quiet, it didn’t work…. I will never stop talking about the lack of care our veterans receive, especially in Florida hospitals. They slowly tortured and took my Father’s life, treating him like poo on a shoe.
America does not care about veterans! There is NO EXCUSE for poor treatment of anyone much less a veteran.
