We really enjoyed our visit to a beautiful distillery near Kingussie yesterday. Speyside Distillery is hidden away in a wee glen with its own babbling burn running through the grounds straight from the river Tromie. The whiskies, all of which our guests unanimously agreed were very tasty indeed.

This made us smile!

The first pic was taken in 2018 when we won #OFMawards ‘best place to drink in the UK’ and we’ve been in the runner-up list every year since and are honoured to be so this year and be described as ‘one of the most highly regarded bars in the country’

And guess who’s listed with us this year? The very people bookending ‘The Jims’ in this photo, Jack & Ron AKA @benchsheffield

Big up our boys and big up everyone in Sheffield who’s been listed this year.

This is how our city is gonna keep getting better. Incubate, inspire, help each other, lift each other up.

Gooo on den Sheff, let’s keep it going!

• Speak at Home x Mother •

We had the pleasure of hosting @thirstydreamer from @mothercocktailbar in Toronto at the end of July. We caught up with Massi the day after the event to hear a little about his background in hospitality, a little about his bar ‘Mother’ and about his ventures in this years World Class finals in Australia.

It was a pleasure to have you. Kick back and relax to our chin wag.

Big thanks to @diageo for helping make this happen...

We might be 20 years older, but give us any bar and it's like riding a bike

Finally made it to @benchsheffield 💯

This one is special. Intimate setting. Sophisticated and well curated beverage. Absolutely outstanding flavour packed seasonal cooking.

Excellent excellent work team. I had an amazing time and I cannot wait to come back.

My #taliskerrewildchallenge cocktail
Respect your elders 🍇
Talisker 10

An ode to Sheffield’s open spaces and community gardens. Elderberries picked form Millennium Gardens in Heeley, sweetened up with some Sheffield honey and toped up with soda, for a nice, slightly tart highball 👌🏻
