🎬 MEET THE CAST: TIM EDWARDS

Tim Edwards is joining the cast of @onairlakenorman as Justin which is great news for us!!

Tim is a Charlotte-based actor with 18 years of improvisational comedy experience, appearances in commercials throughout the Charlotte area, and a Mid-South Emmy Award for his work with WBTV. So yes, someone on this production actually has an Emmy. We plan to mention that as often as possible.

When he’s not acting, Tim runs Splatter Charlotte, where he promotes artistic creativity for all, and Residency, home to huge piano-powered sing-along parties.

Basically, Tim understood the assignment before we even gave him one.

We can’t wait for you to meet his character this fall.

Follow Tim at @splatter.clt and @residencyclt .

I’m not sure that I have the right words yet for @residencyclt last night, but I can say this: I love Charlotte’s creative community so, so much, and it’s an honor to be a part of it. 🥰

Our actual literal favorite thing to do in Charlotte comes back tomorrow night! 🤩😭🥰 If you’ve never been to a @residencyclt music experience, it feels like road trip scream singing with your besties x 100. We’re honored and delighted to be popping up with our bracelet bar so that you make and take a little memento of their Pop Queens event featuring @lynsea. We’re in the lobby of the @carolinatheatreclt so you already know it’s going to be gorgeous. 🤩 Find the ticket link in the linktree in our bio!

Hey, Charlotte! Here are eleven events that were either hosting, co-hosting, or popping up at this month, beginning tonight at @nodabrewing. 🤩

If you’re still on that old, tired “There’s nothing to do in Charlotte” mess, are you even following @welcome_to_the_galexxy @artintheqc @makaylabinter_ or @charlottethrives? Have you stopped by @labodeguitaclt @duppandswat @urbandistrictmarket @chicasmarketclt or @taohoutdoorgallery? Especially this month, y’all! It’s @cltshout season and @clt_boom is right around the corner. You must be trying really, reeeally hard to be bored if you’re still under the impression that there’s nothing happening in this city. Come out and play.

Today on 12 Days of Replays, we’re revisiting the bold, the emotional…

NUMBER 7: Warming Up The Vocals for @residencyclt with @mermaid_of_the_nile 😂

But for real, though, is there anything better than singing with your friends? 🥹 It was an absolute delight to get to work with Residency on a few of their events in 2025, and I’m fervently hoping for more community singalongs in 2026. 🤞🏼 Until then, if anyone wants to carpool karaoke with me, lmk, because this was so, so fun.

Best of the Besties is back with two of the most collaborative besties in Charlotte, Tim and Bryan! This duo met years ago through improv at Charlotte Comedy Theatre and have since performed for thousands together with @shamelessimprov. They’re also the co-founders of @residencyclt, which is one of Play More Charlotte’s personal favorite event series in the 704. Bryan also owns Open Rice, and Tim owns Splatter Charlotte, so these guys are truly ✨all over✨ the creative community making magic happen.

Follow them both at @shamelessimprov and @residencyclt

Tremendous thanks to Tim and Bryan for being a part of Best of the Besties! More besties loading! BOLO all week as we highlight creative duos and trios doing cool stuff in Charlotte.

It’s Musical Theatre Night with @residencyclt at @blumestudiosclt, and I just want to be SUPER clear that if they play Cell Block Tango, I have 21 years of dibs on Pop.
