Here are some photos from the beautiful Matiné Sonora — Resounding Territories, which took place yesterday at Jardins do Bombarda.

Sound installations, performances, listening walks and collective creations developed by students of the ReSound master’s programme.

It has been a privilege to follow this process over the past few months and to see how each proposal found its place within this collective experience, while also witnessing the students’ commitment and capacity for work in the face of challenges. The result was a luminous afternoon of listening, encounter and experimentation.

“Éist” is the Irish word for listening.

And listening is exactly what this wonderful group of students from the re.sound Master’s programme invites us to do.

Coming from different parts of the world — Europe, the Americas and Asia — they are currently in Lisbon for the second semester of this international programme that brings together three European universities: IADT (Ireland), Lusófona (Portugal), and LMTA (Lithuania), moving across these three countries over the course of their studies.

It has been a pleasure to work with such a talented, curious, and deeply committed group, always striving to give their best.

These photographs by our dear Vera Marmelo capture moments from the installation process and rehearsals at Jardins do Bombarda for Matiné Sonora – Resounding Territories, taking place tomorrow from 3pm to 8pm.

The event presents artistic projects developed within the Sound Ecosystems course, featuring installations, performances, and sound walks that explore themes of territory, belonging, memory, and identity through sound.

Come and listen with them.

— What stories emerge through sound?
— Which voices remain invisible until they are heard?

The Matinés Sonoras are afternoons devoted to listening, reflection and cross-disciplinary experimentation at the intersection of art, ecology and sound.

We are delighted to announce that the Response_Able Futures programme has started. We are the first Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programme dedicated to Design and Health_Care.

On a sunny day in September, the LUCA School of Arts welcomed our first cohort, the ResFut class of 2027.

Keep watching this space for updates, reflections, projects, ideas and glimpses into the ambition of this incredible group of students. (and for the handful of students still enroute, we look forward to getting you up to speed!)

Welcome to the programme!

Also, we wish the other maker/design/creative EMJMs, like our colleagues at the @sdsi.master , @replaymasterseu , @filmmemory.emjmd , @docnomads and @resound_masters starting across Europe the best start to a new schoolyear.
