I still get excited every time a new camera lands in my hands.

First look at the OPPO Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max at Celera. Swipe for the details, the fit, and the night we had.

The Pro Max feels like it was built for me though ngl

More real-world shots coming. Full thoughts soon. Which one are you eyeing? 👇

Someone can spend on a tasting menu and still feel like the meal didn’t match who they actually are, which is really just a fancier way of saying the wrong restaurant picked them instead of the other way around. So, we went ahead and matched all 12 astrological signs to a table, using the personality of each fine dining eatery.

Whether you buy into astrology or just want an excuse to try somewhere new in Manila, use this as your next reservation list.
(Bring a friend who shares your sign and see if they agree, or bring one who doesn’t and let them argue with you about it in between courses.)

Blackbird takes a historic 1937 Manila airport terminal and turns it into a restaurant that serves everything from Kerala fish curry to Wagyu croquettes under an Art Deco roof. That refusal to stay in a single lane is exactly the unconventional thinking Aquarius gravitates toward, and they’ll spend half the meal spilling fun facts about the building’s aviation history.

Kása Palma is an invitation into Chef Aaron Isip’s own imagination, right down to the furniture and ceramics he collected himself. The Jungle Kitchen, cooked entirely over open fire, gives the night a dreamy warmth that a Pisces sinks into without resistance, creating a place that makes them feel like they’ve been let in on something private.

Aries wants a restaurant that knows exactly what it is and refuses to dress it up with unnecessary theater. Chef Wade Watson built Brontë around Australian steak and a serious champagne program, skipping the gimmicks that most steakhouses tend to lean on. An Aries will respect that kind of directness immediately. They’ll probably order the biggest cut on the menu without blinking.

Celera

Never had a dining experience like this before, and I don’t think anything will come close anytime soon. Extremely grateful to celebrate this year’s birthday here.

Here were the favorites:

clarified red jade oolong tea, star anise, cloves

Starting off by saying the non-alcoholic pairing is a must. This bright and fun drink was a very good exclamation point to the first two courses.

duck liver mousse with local goat’s cheese, baeri caviar, dill meringue, nori caviar

Looks like a dessert. I don’t have the mental faculties to describe what it’s like. Basta panalo.

green apple, barley tea, bonito

I had my doubts about this one. Not until I paired it with the “noodles” did I understand what was going on. Savory but refreshing.

aged local fish, jalapeno tosazu, tomato water, tarragon, hebi hiam

My personal favorite. Fresh, rich, and savory. Love the texture when all mixed together with the sambal at the bottom.

smoked bone brodo, allium foam, double gold tenderloin

Not pictured is the tartare with the salsa, which changes the dish once introduced. Sobrang saya neto.

shokupan, aged kesong puti, focaccia

BREAD

fermented red bell pepper, magao, sea salt

Citrusy, bright, a bit floral, and with some bite. Yes.

pan seared squab, sampinit, smoked carrot, smoked bone jus

The star of show. Never had squab before, but this convinced me to have squab again.

muscat grape, amazake, dill

Granita to cleanse the palate but honestly preferred this over the dessert that followed.

Love you 💗

An Appetite for Asia 🍜

Inspired by selera, the Malay word for “appetite,” Celera knows how to build one. The One Star Michelin fine dining restaurant brings Asian flavors, ingredients, and techniques together in a menu that’s always changing, where intersecting cultures meet at a communal table. Come hungry.

Tucked away on the third floor of the Comuna Building in Makati City, Celera Restaurant offers a refined take on contemporary Asian haute cuisine.

Despite its Michelin-starred status, Celera has a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. Much to our delight, we were seated at a semi-private table, making an already special evening feel even more intimate.

What impressed us most was the kitchen’s creativity in showcasing Asian ingredients, transforming familiar flavors into beautifully crafted dishes with unexpected combinations and thoughtful presentations.

Here’s everything we enjoyed at Celera:

🍽️ Our Tasting Menu

1. Watermelon, sesame, bonito, beetroot
2. Local mushrooms, buah kulim, leek tartlet
3. Duck liver mousse, local goat’s cheese, Baeri caviar, dill meringue, nori caviar
4. Aged local fish, fermented jalapeño, hebi hiam, langoustine crema
5. Smoked bone brodo, white pepper whey, double gold tenderloin
6. BBQ Maine lobster, Padrón pepper, sweet corn, beetroot
7. 14-day dry-aged Pekin duck, sampinit, smoked carrot, duck liver sauce
8. Arborio, donaal, chicken collagen, milkfish
9. Muscat grape, amazake, dill
10. Kueh, buah keluak, fermented banana caramel

From the imaginative interplay of flavors to the meticulous attention to detail, Celera delivered a dining experience that felt both adventurous and wonderfully familiar.

A memorable evening and another compelling reason to celebrate the creativity and sophistication of Manila’s evolving fine dining scene.

We went back for the cheese soufflé. Stayed for another cocktail. And occasionally drove to Cavite because lunch deserved its own itinerary.

Our 2026 Best of the Best in Food & Drink celebrates the places that kept us coming back, led by Josh Boutwood at Helm, where a single ingredient becomes a meal’s worth of possibilities.

Asador Alfonso makes a long lunch worth the drive, Celera gives Asian flavors an inventive playground, and Kong turns up the fire. There’s bread worth a bagful at Panaderya Toyo, enduring pleasure at Sala, and every reason to let drinks become dinner at Ayà.

New discoveries and longstanding favorites, chosen for the simplest reason: We loved eating and drinking there.

What does it really cost to dine at every Michelin-starred restaurant in Manila? The handsome hubs and I found out soon enough 😆

Our Michelin journey began on my birthday, November 4, just days after the Philippines officially landed on the Michelin map on October 30 last year. First stop: Helm Manila, the country’s lone two-MICHELIN-Starred restaurant at the time.

From there, we made our way through the remaining eight Michelin-starred restaurants, wrapping up our delicious and definitely not budget-friendly quest by March 2026😅

Nine incredible dining experiences. Countless memorable bites. And one very interesting collection of bills! Ouch!🤣😆💸

So… how much should you budget to dine at Manila’s Michelin-starred restaurants? Watch the video
