London has a new luxury Turkish dessert spot, and it's right next to Harrods and Harvey Nichols! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿซ Located in the heart of Knightsbridge, @mazlum.1924 specialises in luxury chocolates, Turkish delight, traditional sweets and halva. But step inside this beautiful cafeฬ and you'll also discover an impressive selection of elegant mousse-based desserts and teas, perfect for a little indulgence between shopping stops. Naturally, I couldn't resist ordering two desserts... which turned out to be a LOT of chocolate for one sitting! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ‘‘ Chocolate Crown (ยฃ14) The clear winner for me! Silky, rich and beautifully balanced chocolate mousse with a stunning presentation. Genuinely excellent, although the price certainly puts it in the luxury dessert category. ๐Ÿซ Dubai Chocolate Labubu Absolutely adorable and definitely designed to grab attention. Unfortunately, the taste didn't quite live up to the looks. The chocolate-to-filling ratio felt off, with too much milk chocolate making it overly sweet and rather overwhelming after a few bites. Would I return? Absolutely, especially for that Chocolate Crown! If you're exploring Knightsbridge and love discovering unusual desserts, Mazlum is worth adding to your London food list. What's your favourite Turkish dessert spot in London? And would you spend ยฃ14 on a single dessert? ๐Ÿ‘€ Save this for your next Knightsbridge shopping trip! ๐Ÿ“Œ #mazlum #turkishdesserts #knightsbridge #londondesserts #londonfoodie londoncafes londonchocolate luxurydesserts londoneats londonfoodguide

Award-winning fire-cooked dining in London, with a tasting menu for just ยฃ40pp?! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘€ If you love smoky, flame-grilled flavours, Cinder in St John's Wood is definitely a restaurant worth knowing about. The concept revolves around cooking over fire, giving dishes that gorgeous charred, smoky flavour without overpowering the ingredients. And after trying a huge selection of dishes, I can confidently say the kitchen knows exactly what they are doing! We ordered: ๐Ÿž House Focaccia with beurre noisette (brown butter) ๐Ÿฆ€ Spicy Crab Doughnut with prawn glaze & kombu crack โค๏ธ Beetroot Ceviche ๐Ÿฅฌ Burnt Leeks with pecorino & hazelnuts ๐Ÿฆ‘ Charred Squid with Cafeฬ de London butter ๐Ÿฅฆ Charred Cauliflower with pesto, hot sauce & Parmesan whip ๐Ÿ— Grilled Chicken Thighs with chimichurri & lemon ๐Ÿฅ” Triple-Cooked Potatoes with black lime salt ๐Ÿซ Giant S'more with graham cracker cookie, chocolate ice cream & toasted meringue And WOW, what a feast! What impressed me most was how beautifully balanced the smoky flavours were. Every dish had that unmistakable fire-cooked character, but without tasting overly charred or bitter. Everything was perfectly cooked, with wonderful combinations of flavours and textures. But the absolute standout? ๐Ÿ— THE GRILLED CHICKEN THIGHS! Possibly the tastiest chicken thighs I've ever had. Incredibly juicy, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. And considering how many interesting dishes we tried, that's saying something! We ordered so much food that I couldn't finish everything and ended up taking some of the cauliflower and triple-cooked potatoes home. They made a rather lovely lunch the following day. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ’ฐ THE VALUE Prices are fairly reasonable for the quality of cooking, and Cinder even offers a tasting menu for ยฃ40 per person. A great way to experience several dishes without having to decide what to order. ๐ŸŽจ THE INTERIORS Don't forget to look around! The restaurant has some wonderfully quirky decorative details, including a huge frame filled with miniature LEGO figures. Definitely not what you'd expect in a fire-focused restaurant!

Autumn, hot chocolate and Fortnum & Mason. Name a better combination! ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‚ If you're looking for a cosy autumn treat in central London, Fortnum & Mason has absolutely nailed it! Head down to the Lower Ground Floor of their Piccadilly store and you'll find a hot chocolate station tucked away next to the pasta bar. There are two flavours to choose from: ๐Ÿฏ Salted Caramel โค๏ธ Raspberry Both come beautifully presented with a generous topping of fluffy meringue & biscuits. And the hot chocolate itself? Absolutely delicious! Rich, smooth and chocolatey, with that perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. Not sickly sweet, not overly bitter. Exactly how a good hot chocolate should taste. A couple of practical tips: ๐Ÿฅ„ Start with the toppings! You get a little spoon to enjoy the meringue and biscuits, and by the time you've finished those, your hot chocolate should have cooled to a much more drinkable temperature. ๐Ÿฅค Be careful with the straw! The cup is generously filled, so pushing the straw in too quickly might cause a little chocolate overflow. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Don't rush your first sip. It's served properly hot! What I particularly liked is that this feels like a proper dessert experience without being as heavy as a big slice of cake or a flour-based pastry. Perfect when you're craving something sweet, chocolatey and indulgent but don't fancy a full dessert. Which would you choose: Salted Caramel or Raspberry? ๐Ÿ‘‡ #fortnumandmason #hotchocolatelondon #londonhotchocolate #londondesserts #piccadilly autumninlondon londonfoodie londoncafes londoneats foodielondon

A freshly made lunch that's genuinely big enough for TWO meals, from ยฃ11? ๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿ‘€ Your Bowl in Beckenham is a super-convenient, and much tastier, alternative to the usual grab-and-go lunch. The concept is simple. Choose one of their signature bowls or build your own poke bowl from scratch. First, pick your base, with options including white rice, black rice, salad and quinoa. Then add: ๐Ÿฅฉ Your protein ๐Ÿฅ— 4 vegetable selections โœจ 2 toppings ๐Ÿฅฃ 2 sauces With so many possible combinations, you could genuinely order something different every time. I built mine with: ๐Ÿš White rice ๐Ÿ— Asian spiced chicken ๐Ÿฅฌ Asian slaw ๐Ÿซ› Edamame ๐Ÿฅ’ Pickled cucumber ๐ŸŒฝ Sweetcorn ๐Ÿซœ Beetroot โœจ Sesame seeds ๐ŸŒฟ Crispy seaweed ๐Ÿฏ Miso & honey sauce ๐Ÿ‹ Ponzu And it was delicious! Fresh, colourful, filling and packed with different flavours and textures. Everything is freshly prepared to order and the portions are HUGE. My bowl was honestly enough for two meals. With prices starting from ยฃ11, it's a little more expensive than grabbing a supermarket salad, but cheaper than most sit-down restaurant lunches. Considering the portion size, freshness and how much you can customise, I think it's really good value for money. Definitely one to know about if you're looking for a quick and filling lunch in Beckenham. What would you put in your perfect poke bowl? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฅ— #beckenham #beckenhamfood #pokebowl #londonfoodie londonlunch southlondonfood healthylunch londoneats foodielondon

OMG... did I just pay almost ยฃ21 for ONE pastry and a cup of tea?! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿซ–๐Ÿฅ Welcome to Marchesi 1824 @marchesi1824 , one of Milan's oldest and most prestigious pastry shops. Founded by the Marchesi family in 1824, the historic pasticceria built its reputation on traditional artisanal confectionery and particularly its handcrafted Panettone, one of Milan's most famous culinary traditions. But you don't need to fly to Milan to try it. Marchesi has a London outpost on the suitably glamorous Mount Street in Mayfair. Inside, you'll find counters filled with handcrafted pastries, cakes, chocolates, confectionery and beautifully packaged gifts. Don't expect the extravagant, architectural creations you might associate with some modern French paฬ‚tisseries. Marchesi feels much more traditional, elegant and understated. I chose one of the prettiest pastries on the counter, a braided croissant with berries, and ordered an Earl Grey tea. Then the bill arrived... ๐Ÿฅ Croissant: ยฃ9 ๐Ÿซ– Earl Grey: ยฃ9.50 ๐Ÿ’ธ Total with service: ยฃ20.80 So... was it worth it? ๐Ÿฅ THE CROISSANT Pretty and tasty, absolutely. Worth ยฃ9? Definitely not, in my opinion. ๐Ÿซ– THE EARL GREY It arrived in a beautiful branded tea set, right down to a very elegant Marchesi tea bag. Unfortunately, the actual tea was surprisingly weak. For ยฃ9.50, I expected considerably more. โœจ THE LOCATION: Stunning. This is Mayfair luxury done properly. ๐Ÿคต THE SERVICE: Exceptional. Attentive, polished staff in gorgeous uniforms, and the whole experience certainly feels premium. So you're clearly paying for much more than flour, butter and a tea bag. You're paying for Marchesi's heritage, the Mount Street address, beautiful surroundings and luxury service. But even taking all of that into account...ยฃ20.80 for a pastry and Earl Grey is difficult to swallow. ๐Ÿ˜… Would YOU pay almost ยฃ21 for this experience, or is this where you draw the line? ๐Ÿ‘‡ #marchesi1824 #mayfair #mountstreet #londonfoodie #londonpastries londondesserts londoncafes luxurylondon londoneats foodielondon

This might look like one of London's most expensive restaurants... but you can have three courses here for ยฃ34.95. ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ The Wolseley on Piccadilly is one of those London restaurants where the building is almost as interesting as the food (Read more about this in the comments). Inspired by the grand European cafeฬ tradition, the concept was an all-day restaurant where you could come for anything from breakfast and coffee to afternoon tea, oysters or a full dinner, all with a sense of occasion but without the formality of traditional fine dining. And the menu is fascinating because it doesn't belong neatly to one country. Then there's the location. ๐Ÿ“ Piccadilly, practically sandwiched between The Ritz and Fortnum & Mason. Combine that address with this incredible interior and you'd be forgiven for assuming dinner here would be ridiculously expensive. And yes, there are certainly some expensive dishes... But The Wolseley also offers a set menu at just: โœจ 2 courses ยฃ29.95 โœจ 3 courses ยฃ34.95 That's cheaper than some pre-theatre menus I've seen in Covent Garden! But rather than going completely British, I decided to create my own little Russian/Ashkenazi-meets-Vienna dinner: ๐ŸŸ Matjes Herrings with beetroot & horseradish ๐Ÿฅฉ Wiener Holstein with anchovy, capers & fried egg ๐Ÿซ› Green Beans with chilli & garlic ๐ŸŽ Apfelstrudel with Calvados creฬ€me Chantilly Exactly the kind of eclectic combination that makes The Wolseley's menu so interesting. Come for the architecture, stay for the history and don't assume that those chandeliers and marble columns automatically mean an enormous bill. For ยฃ34.95 for three courses, this has to be one of the more accessible ways to experience one of London's truly grand dining rooms. Have you been inside The Wolseley, and which of these historic dishes would you actually order? ๐Ÿ‘‡ #thewolseley #piccadilly #londonrestaurants #londonfoodie #historicLondon londonhistory londoneats mayfairrestaurants londonarchitecture foodielondon

Did you know Lโ€™ETO has Russian roots? ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿฐ Lโ€™ETO has been around for years, and I've been a fan ever since its first London cafeฬ opened on Wardour Street in 2012. Back then, finding a proper Russian Medovik honey cake in London wasn't easy. Outside Eastern European shops selling factory-made versions, there were very few places where you could simply sit down and order a freshly made slice. Lโ€™ETO @letocafe.official arrived with an enormous cake selection, and over the years that offering has only grown. I've tried so many of their desserts that choosing a single favourite would be almost impossible. So many have been absolute perfection. This time I somehow ended up with a very red-berry-themed selection: ๐Ÿ“ Strawberries & Cream Tart โค๏ธ Raspberry Ricotta Cheesecake ๐Ÿ“ Napoleon Cake with Strawberries ๐ŸŽ Plus the limited-edition Orchard & Spice This beautiful apple-shaped dessert combines a crispy oat base, caramel-hazelnut sponge, vanilla-apple filling with actual pieces of apple, Greek yoghurt and cinnamon mousse, chopped hazelnuts and a glossy caramel glaze. But while Lโ€™ETO is best known for its incredible cake displays, its Russian connection goes much deeper. Lโ€™ETO was founded by Artem Login, and even the name gives you a clue: โ€œletoโ€ (ะปะตั‚ะพ) means โ€œsummerโ€ in Russian โ˜€๏ธ If you've always associated Lโ€™ETO purely with beautiful cakes and coffee, it's actually an accessible place to try several classics from Russian and post-Soviet food culture too. Look through the menu and you'll find several dishes with Russian and wider post-Soviet roots: ๐Ÿฅฃ Borsch โ€“ beef & beetroot soup ๐ŸฅŸ Pelmeni โ€“ dumplings with beef & pork ๐Ÿฅž Syrniki โ€“ cottage cheese pancakes ๐Ÿฐ Napoleon Cake ๐Ÿฐ Kiev Cake ๐Ÿฏ Honey Cake / Medovik The interiors are equally recognisable: elegant neoclassical and modern-colonial influences, abundant flowers and greenery, and those spectacular open cake counters that make choosing just one dessert almost impossible. Lโ€™ETO has grown enormously since that first London opening. Today, the brand operates internationally across the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan.

Want to know where Londonโ€™s Turkish community goes for doฬˆner? ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿฅ™ Hassos Doฬˆner in Harringay is known for authentic Turkish yaprak doฬˆner, made fresh daily using 100% halal meat. This is very much a no-fuss kind of place. Service is fast and friendly, portions are HUGE and every main dish costs ยฃ18.99 or less, making it great value for the amount of food you get. We ordered: ๐Ÿฅ™ Iฬ‡skender Kebab ๐ŸŒฏ Beyti kebab ๐ŸŒฏ Duฬˆruฬˆm Doฬˆner And before the mains even arrived, we were given a massive complimentary plate of pickles and tomato salad. ๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿ… Although all three dishes use the same doฬˆner meat, my favourite was definitely theย Beyti kebab, with the meat wrapped into little lavash rolls. For me, these had the perfect ratio of bread, meat and tomato sauce. And don't even get me started on that incredible Turkish yoghurt! ๐Ÿคค The cool, creamy yoghurt paired with the rich meat and sauce so well. The portions here are seriously generous, so come hungry! And there's one rather fun detail to look out for when you visit. As you walk in, you'll be greeted by a huge mural portrait of the owner, Hasan, watching over the restaurant from the wall. ๐Ÿ˜„ Authentic flavours, generous portions, affordable prices and a restaurant that's clearly popular with London's Turkish community. Definitely one to know about if you're exploring Harringay's incredible Turkish food scene. @hassosdoner What's your favourite way to eat doฬˆner: Iฬ‡skender, duฬˆruฬˆm or wrapped in lavash? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท #hassosdoner #harringay #turkishfood #doner #yaprakdoner londonfoodie halalfoodlondon londonrestaurants londoneats foodielondon

Lunch with Oxford Street views from ยฃ11 Did you know you can have an affordable lunch with incredible views over Oxford Street? ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒ‡ Head up to Level 5 of John Lewis Oxford Street and you'll find Platter, their new all-day dining space. It's essentially canteen-style dining, but considerably more glamorous than that description suggests. Think gorgeous furniture, lots of space and, best of all, a terrace overlooking Oxford Street. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable for this part of London. ๐Ÿ• Margherita pizza ยฃ11 ๐Ÿ Spinach & ricotta ravioli ยฃ11.50 ๐Ÿ• Capricciosa pizza with ham, artichoke, mushrooms & olives ยฃ12 ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Diavola pizza with spicy sausage & roasted peppers ยฃ13.50 ๐ŸŸ Fish & chips ยฃ14.95 Breakfast starts from just ยฃ4.95, too. There's also a separate Dessert Parlour, and some of the prices here surprised me even more: ๐Ÿซ Blueberry & speculoos waffle sundae ยฃ5 ๐Ÿ“ Raspberry Eton Mess sundae ยฃ5.50 ๐Ÿซ Chocolate fudge brownie sundae ยฃ5.25 ๐Ÿ’ Sour cherry & chocolate waffle ยฃ5.25 They even roast their own 100% Arabica John Lewis coffee blend in-house, and there's a Champagne & Cocktail Bar if you fancy something stronger. But I was here for something considerably prettier... ๐Ÿฅญ The fruit desserts These little creations combine delicate fruit mousse, coulis and sponge cake inside a thick chocolate shell.ย  I chose the mango, and it was delicious! Beautifully presented, light and fruity inside with that satisfying snap from the chocolate coating. At ยฃ9.50, I do think it's a little expensive considering its size, but it definitely tasted good. If you're shopping around Oxford Street and want somewhere for a quick lunch, coffee or dessert without paying typical rooftop-restaurant prices, this is a very useful one to know about. Would you expect to find ยฃ11 pizzas and ยฃ5 sundaes with this view in the middle of Oxford Street? ๐Ÿ‘‡ #johnlewis #platter #oxfordstreet #londonfoodie #londonviews londonrestaurants londonlunch londondesserts londoneats foodielondon

If youโ€™re looking for a London dinner that feels like an occasionโ€ฆ save this one! โœจ I spent an evening at @madhusofmayfair , the luxurious Indian dining destination at the ๐Ÿ“ Dilly Hotel, right near Piccadilly Circus โ€” and honestly, it was an evening worth remembering. From the moment we arrived, the elegant ambience and warm hospitality set the tone. We started with refreshing drinks and cocktails, then indulged in lamb chops, kebabs and the incredible palak patta chaat. For mains, it was fragrant biryani, naan and delicious chicken dishes โ€” every bite packed with flavour. And then came the showstopperโ€ฆ their absolutely delectable fusion desserts! I'd walked past The Seafood Bar on Dean Street several times and always assumed it would be expensive. Then I finally looked at the menu... I ordered the Mixed Grill Seafood Platter for ยฃ35.95, which included: ๐Ÿฆ Shrimp skewer ๐Ÿฆ‘ Squid ๐ŸŸ Whole Cornish sole ๐Ÿฆ King prawn ๐ŸŸ Salmon ๐ŸŸ Sea bream And because apparently that wasn't enough seafood for one person, I also added half a lobster ๐Ÿฆž The resulting portion was MASSIVE. I struggled, but somehow managed to finish almost everything, leaving just a little of the sole behind. And OMG, this was satisfying. A giant plate of freshly grilled seafood, protein and omega-3 galore! The menu is actually much broader than I expected, with everything from classic fish & chips for ยฃ19.99 to an enormous Mixed Grill Crustaceans for two at ยฃ149, featuring lobster, langoustines and snow crab. The restaurant itself is gorgeous too. Bright, predominantly white interiors immediately reminded me of those relaxed seafood restaurants you find along the beachfront in Spain. It feels coastal despite being right in the middle of Soho. Service was friendly and impressively quick, and there's another useful detail if you're someone who rarely plans dinner weeks in advance:ย The Seafood Bar keeps around 60% of its tables available for walk-ins. ๐Ÿ‘€ And there's some interesting history behind the restaurant: The Seafood Bar was founded by the De Visscher family, whose seafood business dates back to 1984. Fishmonger Fons de Visscher later developed the restaurant concept with his children, eventually opening restaurants in Amsterdam and Utrecht. The Soho restaurant was their first international location outside the Netherlands, and appropriately for a business with some history of its own, it's housed inside a Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse dating from around 1730 at 77 Dean Street. So, despite the beautiful Soho location and seafood-heavy menu, you don't necessarily need a huge budget to eat here. For me, ยฃ35.95 for that enormous mixed grill was seriously impressive value. Although adding half a lobster may have been slightly ambitious... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฆž Would you attempt this entire seafood platter yourself?
