When running long arms with a 4-inch lift, a tailshaft notch is essential to achieve the required clearance. 🔧 This video is a great example of what can happen underneath your vehicle when there isn’t enough clearance. It can lead to a range of issues, including excessive pressure on the transfer case rear output shaft seal. You can’t clearly see it in the video, but mine has actually started leaking! To fix the issue, @restofab.au we’ve carried out both a tailshaft notch and a crossmember notch to achieve the clearance needed for proper suspension movement. Clearance matters! Get it right before it becomes a bigger problem. 💪
