Wish her a Happy Birthday in the comments below, please! 👇🏼 🎈

This queen 👑 deserves ALL THE BIRTHDAY LOVE!

Stephany Item, @growingrootstherapies is bringing her cosmic, infectious gifts to our party by raising the dance vibration, and we can’t WAIT! What a gift to be graced by Ithaca’s very own dancefloor goddess whose magic comes even more to life with children around her ☺️☀️

Stephany will be leading a play-based movement activity to get our bodies moving and grooving on the dance floor and primed for the dance party of the month! 🥰 You can catch her weaving in and out of the dance floor, luring you in with props and magical dance moves, and igniting your inner love of movement and dance, even if you have forgotten it is there, it is yours (Parents, we’re looking at you 👀😉).

GET READY - We’re doing it again!🌈 🍄 And this time, even FUNKIER!
SUNDAY, JUNE 8th from 1-3pm at @stonebendfarm is our NEXT Fam Jam!

🐝 Community is the medicine we need, and we parents need it more than ever these days (somehow it’s already May…we made it?)

🌱 So, let’s come together to remember that JOY is ours and no one can take it from us!

🪩 We can’t wait to boogie down with you - whether you’re 1 or 100, we hope you’ll shake it on the dancefloor…
And you should know by now Fam Jam doesn’t just rock the “adult-friendly” music 😂, but DJ Lina Luv saturates the soundwaves with world dance music that JUST FEELS GOOD. 🌍

For our second installment, MC Mimi Luv’s asked to choose our mutual aid fundraising beneficiary. We are excited to announce that @ithacachildrensgarden is our lucky local organization we’re raising funds for! If you are a fan of ICG or FamJam, please join us on the dancefloor!

Stone Bend will have wood-fired pizza and other delicious food, local beer and cider, and THE most incredible dancefloor and indoor-outdoor fun.
(Rain or shine- we have dry soaces for you and the kiddos!)

More exciting details coming soon, but in the meantime: SAVE THE DATE! 6/8/25 1-3pm!! Please share with your people!

Thank you, @restorativeharmony, for this informative discussion on women's fertility and health. For women who want to have a baby or are currently trying, the process can feel stressful and challenging to navigate the fears. Caroline has helped women gain knowledge and sovereignty over their fertility journey for over 10 years and helps bring ritual and joy back to the process, along with fact based statistics and research. Check out her website in my link in bio as well as her upcoming fertility course "The Fertility formula SPIRAL Method" in September. @restorativeharmony

Because the fertility journey can be an extremely clinical one, it is so important to retain a bit of magic and space for reflection in your life.

That’s where rituals come in.

They help you slow down, focus on the type of energy that you’d like to call in or release, and process any emotions that present themselves.

Ritual helps you say ‘I matter, my experience matters.’

On this episode of the podcast I talk with fertility coach Caroline Ashurst @restorativeharmony about the power of ritual, how you can design your own rituals to deal with (in)fertility and loss, and why we need to let go of the notion that we’re on a time clock when it comes to fertility.

Top quotes:
Caroline Ashurst: “Ritual is a pathway to processing deep threshold experiences that we have as humans. We create space to process our emotions. It’s a declaration of self-love and that influences how we experience the fertility journey.”

Françoise Molenaar: “Establishing a healthy womb connection can be an important entry point for creating that space for yourself.”

Caroline Ashurst: “There is so much that you can do to support egg quality. When you take the time to slow down, to nurture and nourish and love yourself, you’re putting yourself in the center of that process and not the outcome. When you do all that, you’re working on your egg quality in a way that is so powerful. Because all of that affects your hormonal health.”

I lost my mom right after my 24th birthday, and I remember the first Mother's Day without her. Even though I'd lost my father in high school, this felt very different, and the intensity of the holiday was really overwhelming. I didn't know how to explain what I was feeling without ruining everyone else's lovely time with their families, so I just kept it to myself. I learned to muddle through the holiday with problematic aunties, big plates of food, and bigger glasses of wine, until I became a mother myself. I thought that celebrating with my baby would give the day new meaning, but instead it just became another layer to an already complicated holiday. I wondered what was wrong with me that I didn't feel adored and amazing and just endless gushings of gratitude on this #blessed day. Now I know I was also in the throes of terrible #PPA and depression, but hey! At the time I just wondered why I was always such a grump #enneagramtype4. .
.
Fast forward to last year. Pregnant with my second baby and fresh off a move to a new country, I had a realization. I know, now, that any hard feeling I'm having isn't mine alone - I know there are those of you out there who share them too. And my "aha" was that with Girls Gone Happy, I was now in a position to say to someone else EXACTLY what I wished someone could have said to me in those tough moments. And so, working until 5 days before Bodhi was born, I created Love Notes for a Complicated Mother's Day - one of three beautiful digital products we are offering this Mother's Day.

Maybe you're trying to conceive. Maybe you have a challenging relationship with your own mother, or she's no longer here. Maybe you're just in need of some inspiration and extra love right now, because this is hard. Whatever it is, we've got you. These posters are just a glimpse into some of the absolutely love-drenched tools you'll get in this month-long experience. From writing prompts, guided activities with your Loss Deck, printable posters, and more, these Love Notes are written from my deepest heart to yours, and are a beautiful gift to give yourself, or a friend you want to love on from afar.

Strong + Empowered within for Labor + Birth looks, feels and moves something like this... 🔥🔥🔥#bodywisemama #warrior
.
Clear vision, firm focus, bravery, boldness, trust, vulnerability, rooting AND rising, diving deep into our core AND going out on a limb, holding on AND letting go... and what else? What does it mean to you, mama? #selfadvocacy
.
Here are some powerful reflections from some of the participants in last night’s Strength + Empowerment within for Labor + Birth workshop/workout: “All resistance and pain is temporary.” “I can keep going longer than I initially think.” “My body is prepared to withstand a lot of tension.” “My breath (at times audible) can help to power through the harder parts.” #ideservebirthsupport
