GE ‘26

I’m unbelievably grateful that this is the family I got to spend my rookie season of drum corps with. From pushing through reps on reps during 100+ degree rehearsals to all the free days exploring the niche wonders of Bako and the rest of California, it was such a uniquely beautiful experience and privilege to do it alongside some of the hardest working individuals yet simultaneously hilarious people I’ve met. This activity just brings people from all places and stories in such an amazing way and I wish the best to everyone’s journey going forward, both inside and outside the marching world.

Special thanks to the staff, notably Kenya, Peter, Sal, and Jimmie, for setting and pushing our standards and beliefs in ourselves. Much love to David for being the best section leader I’ve known yet. Firm daps to the battery and pit for the generational crankage we achieved together. The biggest shoutout for the GE Trap House for the memories I’ll have for the rest of my life long after this season. Last but not least, huge thanks to Edson and his dad for letting me carpool with them for auditions and camps to make this dream come true in the first place 🙏

W crank.

GE 2026 💛🖤

Now that I’ve been back home and had time to reflect on the season I don’t really know how to put it into words except just being able to say wow. Having this season be my last in DCI was such a blessing. I was able to learn so much not just as a drummer but as a person as well. Being a section leader this year was tough especially with so many rookies and there were many times where I did not feel confident in my abilities to lead, but having such a great staff and great group of people around me helped push me through what I thought I couldn’t do.

To the battery, thank you for letting me push you guys and just being down for the grind. You guys proved everyone wrong this season and I couldn’t be prouder and honored to march alongside each of you.

To the snares. I don’t know how I could’ve done the season without you guys. Letting me come back after taking a season off to be in the center and push you guys past your limits. You guys pushed me to be better every single day and I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish. I can’t wait to see where you guys go.

To the staff, thank you for letting me be apart of GE for all these years and for allowing me to be a section leader. It was a dream come true to be able to come back home and help build up the next generation. Your guys’ knowledge and love for this activity is so admirable and I look up to each and every one of you. Especially since I marched with so many of you in the past and getting to see you guys teach was so inspiring.

To GE, thank you for being my home for the past 4 seasons. From being a rookie in 2022 at just 17 years old being surrounded by so many talented players, to finally aging out with the same organization that saw me grow up. I wouldn’t change my age out for the world and I’m so blessed to have been welcomed back with open arms.

Finally to my mom and dad. You guys always supported me throughout my marching career, all you guys wanted to see was me doing what I loved and you always found a way to make that possible. Thank you ❤️

That’s it I’m officially too old for Drum Corps I finished the way I wanted with absolutely no regrets.

Now it’s time for Indoor 🙏

Better late than never.

I aged out (more than) a few weeks ago. 7 years ago I picked up the clarinet and joined my high school marching band. I had a great time, and in my senior year decided to try out indoor percussion. Several years and several groups later, to have aged out with the Blue Devils and RCC front ensembles would have been a pipe dream to sophomore year me.

The lessons I’ve learned and friends I’ve made at RCC will last a lifetime. Through the ups and downs, the members and staff of RCC make every moment worth it. There’s no other place I would’ve loved more to call home.

Special thanks to RCCFE 26, for making my age out so fun and for placing their trust in me. Scores and medals are cool, but y’all are cooler 😎.

On to the next chapter!

Thank you, RCC 2026.

From not thinking I’d amount to anything, to growing as a performer and chasing/achieving my dreams, I want to say thank you to everyone and to RCC. I’m currently in spring training, but this post was worthy of my free time. I was taught so much from the staff and the people I marched with here, and I can’t help but be happy I fully committed all of my energy, my passion, into creating the music career I’m in today. Short but sweet, thank you all, and I’m so utterly grateful for being given this opportunity of a lifetime. 🐯🫶 see y’all next year.
