September recap 🤍

I took a little break from posting last month to focus on growing—personally and professionally.

I’ve received so many questions about how I created this lifestyle. Since graduating residency, I chose a different path: 1099 over the traditional W-2 route. It’s something we aren’t really taught in medicine, but it gave me the freedom to build a career around the life I wanted—not the other way around.

A life where I can be present as a wife and mother, while still growing as a physician, CEO, and entrepreneur.

Still building. Still learning. Still becoming. 🤍

Novello Medspa launch, but make it a party 🥂✨

Still not over our launch night! We celebrated the only way we know how — cocktails, snacks, dancing, giveaways, and a whole lot of beauty + wellness. 🤍

Our guests enjoyed 25% off #jeuveau and treatments, and we gave away some seriously amazing prizes — including an entire YEAR of Jeuveau treatments, Williams Sonoma gift baskets, two months of GLPs, and more. ✨

But the best part was getting to celebrate this next chapter of Novello with all of YOU.

What started as a salon has continued to grow into the beauty + wellness space we’ve always dreamed of creating — all under one roof, with people we trust to take care of you.

Thank you to everyone who came, celebrated, danced, sipped, entered giveaways, and made the night so much fun. We love this little community more than you know. 🤍

The Medspa is officially OPEN for injections, peptides, weight loss, and more! …..and we’re just getting started🥂✨

“Being too friendly with your patients is unprofessional.”

I disagree—especially in concierge medicine.

There’s a difference between being a patient’s friend and creating a relationship where they feel genuinely comfortable with their physician.

I want my patients to feel like they can tell me the things they’re embarrassed about, the things they’re struggling with, and the things they might not bring up in a rushed 10-minute appointment. Because understanding the person in front of me helps me take better care of them.

That also means allowing myself to be human and, at times, vulnerable.

But there is a balance. My patients can feel comfortable joking with me, texting me, or having an open conversation with me—and still understand that when it comes to their health, I’m their physician. My medical recommendations are evidence-based, thoughtful, and sometimes involve conversations they may not necessarily want to hear.

Being approachable doesn’t make you less professional.

You can have boundaries and still be warm.
You can be relatable and still be respected.
You can be vulnerable and still be the doctor in the room.

I’d like to think that’s one of the reasons I have such strong communication and trust with the majority of my patients.

To me, that’s what concierge medicine should feel like: personalized medicine without losing the personal connection.

🏃 Why VO₂ Max Predicts Longevity
If I could measure only one fitness metric to predict how long—and how well—you’ll live, it would be VO₂ max.

VO₂ max reflects your body’s ability to deliver and utilize oxygen during exercise. Research consistently shows that a higher VO₂ max is associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cognitive decline, and all-cause mortality.

This case highlights an important concept in longevity medicine.
At 47 years old, this client has:
✅ 11.7% body fat
✅ Excellent lean muscle mass
✅ Very low visceral fat (531 g)
✅ Healthy body weight
By appearance and body composition, he is doing exceptionally well.

However, his VO₂ max is 35.3 mL/kg/min, indicating that while his body composition is excellent, his metabolic fitness still has room for improvement.

His long-term goal isn’t simply to live to age 80—it’s to hike with a 20-pound backpack at age 80.

Without improving his aerobic fitness today, the normal age-related decline in VO₂ max would make that goal increasingly difficult to achieve.

Longevity isn’t just about adding years to your life—it’s about adding life to your years.

One of the most effective places to start is Zone 2 training:
🏃 30–45 minutes
❤️ 3–5 days per week
💬 At an intensity where you can still comfortably hold a conversation.

Simple doesn’t mean easy—but consistent training builds the metabolic foundation for better health, improved performance, and greater independence later in life.

If you’re interested in understanding your own VO₂ max, body composition, metabolic health, and personalized longevity strategy, we’d love to help.

📩 Send us a DM or schedule a comprehensive longevity consultation with Revived Kansas Longevity Clinic @revivedks_longevity

The goal isn’t simply to live longer. It’s to remain strong enough to do the things you love for decades to come.

Last night, while grabbing a glass of water from the fridge, I found myself staring at my June schedule and feeling incredibly grateful.

I almost didn’t post this because social media often makes success look effortless or worse make it appear that I am just showing off. But if this inspires even one person to bet on themselves, take a chance on their dream, or build something of their own, then it’s worth sharing.

What people don’t see:

📱 The texts answered at midnight after a 12-hour ER shift.
📚 The extra board certifications and countless hours of continuing education.
💻 The website edits, paperwork, consents, forms, and pharmacy calls.
📈 The thousands of dollars invested before a single patient ever booked.
🚗 The driving between clinics, hospitals, IV appointments, and events.
🤱 Building a business while raising a baby.

People see a full calendar and think, “Business must be doing well.”

What they don’t see is that every booking represents hundreds of hours of work, sacrifice, learning, and persistence that happened long before anyone noticed.

Most dreams don’t fail because people lack talent. They fail because the journey gets hard, the results take longer than expected, and many quit before momentum arrives. I am telling you you can do it. If you have the work ethic, you 100% do it.

June is my busiest month yet since launching at the end of February, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The best part is it is my telemedicine business and I get to be home with my baby while pursuing my passion.

This isn’t luck.

It’s the result of showing up day after day, even when nobody is watching, cheering, or clapping.

❤️ If you’re in the middle of building something, keep going.

The work you’re doing today may not pay off tomorrow. But one day you’ll look back and realize those quiet, difficult days were the foundation for everything you built.

Postpartum. Physician. Business owner. Mom life.
No perfect routine — just efficient habits that actually fit my schedule. ✨

1. 30 min walks instead of forcing intense cardio
2. 20 mins of EMS training @body20_lenexacitycenter = feels like 4–5 hours of gym work. I try to go 1-2 times per week.
3. Low-dose GLP-1 approach so I could lose weight without destroying my muscle
4. Prioritized protein first (20–30g minimum per meal… or drank it when life got chaotic)
5. Stopped eating 5 hours before bed
