Safe to say that summer finished off with a BANG. 💃🏽✨🧨

Dance means moving the body and feet in a rhythmic pattern, usually to music. But if you ask me, this summer consisted of a whole lot more than just physical dancing. There was also mental dancing, emotional dancing and spiritual dancing.

We dance simply because the music tells our bodies to move. And sometimes, LIFE moves us in ways we never expected. Dance was my outlet this summer. Anytime I felt, I moved.

I danced through joy, nostalgia, excitement, uncertainty, connection, reflection and everything in between. Music and dance brought reunions I didn’t know my heart needed. I got to hug humans I hadn’t seen in YEARS. Some stirred up old emotions. Some brought back memories. Some made me laugh hysterically and others simply made me move my hips and feet like no one was watching. Some did all of the above. 🥹

And maybe that’s what I’ll remember most about this summer: how many different ways there are to be moved. 🙌🏼 Whether it was by a song or a memory. Moved by a person or by a moment. Moved by life itself. Not every dance was graceful. Some moments felt messy. Some were unexpected. Some brought me back to pieces of myself I had forgotten. But every single one, even every misstep reminded me that I am still here, still feeling, still growing, still moving. 💃🏻

So to every person who shared a dance, a laugh, a conversation, a reunion, a memory, a late night, a meal, a drink, a hug, a song or a little piece of this summer with me…thank you. ♥️

Thank you for moving me in ways you may never even realize.
And I hope you all can acknowledge the people, places, music, memories and moments that made this summer one worth dancing through. I wish I could upload an entire album. 🤭😢

I’m so satisfied. 🙆🏻‍♀️ And now Autumn. To ⛓️‍💥 or not to ⛓️‍💥. That is the question. 😅😏💋 But honestly I’m just really excited for big sweaters, knee high boots and scarves. 💁🏻‍♀️🫶🏼
