#NEWMEMBERMONDAY w/ @reya.schmidt ⛵️

“Hey!! I’m Reya Schmidt, and I’m from Newton, MA, majoring in Human Physiology!

Coming from a very small high school, I was excited to experience a larger community at BU, but at the same time, I worried it would be hard to find a group of girls who truly understood me. That’s why AEPhi stood out. My high school friend, @josieelawrence_, had already found such meaningful friendships through AEPhi, and since she’s someone I look up to, I felt inspired to go through recruitment myself.

From the very beginning, every conversation I had with the sisters in AEPhi made me feel comfortable, seen, and understood. I’ve met so many amazing people I never would’ve crossed paths with if it weren’t for AEPhi, and I am so grateful for that. My experience also wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my incredible big, @maya.rutan—my idol, my friend, and my sister—who I truly can’t imagine my life without.

Joining this sisterhood has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m so excited for everything still ahead! 💚”
