3 years since, and a sista is still here!

There was once a time so dark, that I felt that no longer being here was the best option. Though life will always present challenges, deciding to stay has certainly been worth it. Interestingly enough, grief is showing me there is so much to stick around for. Having 15 friends show up at my door the week my Mom passed showed me how much love is around. My students having lightbulb moments with bevels and hip isolations make me extremely grateful to be a small part in shaping them. My family passing down recipes and heirlooms makes me aware that I am part of something bigger than me. Here are a few moments I am so happy I am here to have experienced.

Suicide is not selfish. When someone is in that level of pain, all they want is for it to stop. And sometimes, ending can seem like the only way out. To anyone going through that, I understand, and I urge you to reconsider. Whatever it is, whenever it is, message me. You are never alone, and there is so much joy waiting for you on the other side of pain.
