Peddi is a 2026 Indian Telugu-language sports action drama written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, starring Ram Charan in the title role alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. Set in the 1980s against the rural landscape of Andhra Pradesh, the story follows Peddi, a spirited villager and athlete whose carefree life gradually transforms when he becomes connected to his community's struggle for identity, dignity, and recognition. His village, which lacks even a railway station and proper recognition, sees its hopes placed on the shoulders of a man who initially lives without a larger purpose. Through cricket, wrestling, and his growing connection with the people around him, Peddi discovers that his sporting ability can become a means of bringing his community together and challenging the powerful forces standing in their way. As the conflict grows, Peddi's journey becomes more than a fight against a rival—it becomes a personal search for identity and a larger battle for the dignity of an entire community. His bond with Gournaidu, portrayed by Shiva Rajkumar, becomes one of the emotional pillars of the story, while the surrounding characters add layers of rivalry, family, loyalty, sacrifice, and social struggle. Ram Charan brings a raw and physically demanding performance to Peddi, transforming the character through his body language, attitude, emotional intensity, and sporting sequences. The film explores themes of identity, dignity, community pride, ambition, friendship, sacrifice, resilience, and the determination to give a voice to people who have been overlooked. With Buchi Babu Sana's earthy storytelling, R. Rathnavelu's striking cinematography, A.R. Rahman's powerful musical score, Navin Nooli's editing, and a richly textured rural setting, Peddi blends sports, action, emotion, and social drama into the journey of a man who slowly discovers that his fight is much bigger than himself.

This is happening in broad daylight, in full public view, and even with police presence. Now imagine what could have happened without any security. Actress Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed at Hyderabad's Lulu Mall during the song launch of her upcoming film The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas. What was meant to be a promotional event quickly turned chaotic as her personal space was repeatedly breached by an uncontrollable crowd. Viral videos show Nidhhi visibly uncomfortable while fans tried to get close, take pictures, and surround her as she struggled to reach her car. According to India Today, police later confirmed that no permission was taken for the gathering and no official security arrangements were in place to manage the crowd. This incident raises serious questions about celebrity safety, event mismanagement, and crowd control in public spaces.
