Ashworld Ghost, A Curious Machine

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🌫️💀 What if the last safe place on Earth wasn’t safe at all?

Today’s spotlight goes to Ashworld Ghost, an indie comic by Richard Kemp that immediately caught my attention with its striking cover and post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

The cover is simple, but incredibly effective.

A lone figure stands in the middle of an ash-covered world, helmet in hand, while a ghostly skull looms overhead like a warning. Right away, you know this story isn’t just about survival—it’s about secrets, loss, and whatever still lingers after the world ends.

From what creator Richard Kemp has shared, Ashworld Ghost is a post-environmental apocalypse story centered around a young woman and a city hidden beneath a mountain known as Mount Bliss. But as with all great dystopian stories, the biggest danger may not be outside the walls.

One of the things I love about independent comics is seeing creators tackle big questions:

🌍 What happens after the end?
👻 What ghosts do we carry with us?
🏔️ And can humanity truly rebuild?

If you’re a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, atmospheric worldbuilding, and stories filled with mystery, Ashworld Ghost is definitely one to keep on your radar.

Richard has been sharing artwork, previews, and updates for Ashworld Ghost, describing it as “a haunting digital comic about survival, secrets, and the last sanctuary on Earth.”

Sometimes the world ends.

The real story begins with what survives.
