• the rest of the week was all about indie cinema - lucky kiddo that I am, I was invited to come to @notfilmfest and dive into pure indie-magic set in bellissima Italia, not only being inspired by the most amazing people but also able to binge watch so many sweet and touching, thoughtful, spooky, funny movies! Here is what I could catch:
• Sauna sickness spoke to each and every woman in the room when it comes to the phenomenon of male incompetence of being a decent person. Showcased brilliantly!
• Ferine opened the festival - complimenti @_andreacorsini - I was brave enough to watch it, no idea when I watched a horror movie for the last time! A daring film asking the question about superiority, dominance and powerplay

• great panels, such as a deep dive into the world of film festivals - thank you for sharing your thoughts and expertise @alizelatini , @nicki_nikitin and #peterbaxter

• enjoyed the future forward shorts by filmmakers under 27 y/o 👏 @celena___veiga congratulations again! Also snipped touched my heart, what a clever showcase of differences and commonalities

• had a blast with Buckets by @banana_stevenson & @rgitsme 🤩 so much fun watching this one!

• another gem of the week Superbuhei by @josef.brandl - you got us all down the rabbit hole of Schnaps 🫗

• got lost in the best way possible within the experimental screenings 🌊 congratulations @magda_celmer I lovedlovedloved your performance in woman in the sea! Also wildly impressed by wild eye pub! 💛

• my sports-heart got spoiled with the next section and especially @giuseppe_lanno s documentary „reality is worse“ about a Sicilian football club that urges to bring back soccer to the people instead of just exploiting it for prestige. A very touching film that gets your blood boiling ab

It’s release day! 2.5 years, 40+ interviews, Anxiety Mountain, too many cubes, Honda Civic ADHD, an eclipse, a cancer scare, a cracked foundation, October Baseball, animators upon animators, Mr. Daniel Roher, a Sundance Premiere, a perfect baby boy, and a baby girl on the way later and The AI Doc or How I Became an Apocaloptimist (my first feature film) releases in theatres across North America.

It’s a film about AI but also fatherhood and our shared humanity as we face the big digital machine. I’m grateful to every person that I got to collaborate with for this - we’re so happy to share it with you all.

Big ol’ gratitude-splosion up in here lately. I think the photo dump has entered the vintage cycle, so what I’m doing here right now is actually really chic! All of the circles are turning faster and faster. Lately I love moving slowly and finding some boredom. But ultimately I just love all of the everything.

ive accomplished so much this year but making this was my favorite & the most meaningful. -writing & recording a song to shooting & editing the music video within 24 hours, that’s indie. I just wanna make films dude- for sooo long. and to not do it alone. 🥹 @rgitsme turned TF up and threw TF down with me on this LAST NIGHT. & @human.yoyo my magic magician man. we stunted!
