Those beautiful nuances of expression

I absolutely love good hair & makeup. We were shooting a separate project. I knew we’d have a little extra time & I knew we’d already be in a tight medium closeup, so I decided we should add on a mini #HMU editorial.

I had so much fun directing this that I’ve decided to do a couple more w crazier HMU looks, different lenses, lighting, backdrops etc. There should be a unifying conceptual through line e.g. Withering Flower. Shiny Disco Ball. Love Lost. Not sure yet

That would be a lot of work to put into something that has no end goal. So, why? Idk. But, I know that I have good instincts. And, I know that when you do something purely out of love, it almost inevitably leads someplace great.

The “SALT” team with a few missing❤️. Crazy to think it’s already been a little over a year we opened our own salon. Never did I think I would go down this road again personally after having one in Texas years ago, but it has been such a fun and fulfilling experience and many challenges to let’s BE REAL! Speaking for myself I did this for a safe place to come everyday and surround myself with that same kind of energy. Past salon experiences never have been great with the egos and all that come with it. Its not about who does what better , yes we all have our strengths in different areas and we acknowledge that , every artist is different however we love to learn and grow and teach each other always inside our place. It’s our home away from home.. so grateful for each one of you ~ #1yearanniversary

Get ready 2024 education is going to be my JAM!

Ps: the Salt team is growing we are now looking for 1 colorist/stylist and another Facialist /waxer. Spread the love ❤️ thank you
