To Orlando, Florida and the University of Central Florida:

It wasn’t your palm trees, sunshine, lack of winter, or beach trips in January that made me love my past four years. It certainly wasn’t the 80% humidity, sweaty walks to class, underachieving football team, hurricanes, absurdly long red lights, or constant traffic. It wasn’t even the rocket launches, tailgating, or beautiful campus. I had the greatest four years of my life because of the people. It was the people who helped me experience some of the greatest highs and persevere through some of the lowest of lows.

Much of the person I have become and the growth I have experienced boils down to the day I walked into that brick mansion as a scrawny 19 year old kid with frosted tips. The day I decided to go against everything I ever said about college and joined a frat. That was the day I welcomed into my life some of the greatest brothers and friends I will ever know, so thank you @ucfato for trusting some kid like me to grow into a leader and for connecting me with many of my favorite people.

Every triumph, success, and learning experience would not have been without my incredible friends and family who were by me through it all. Though some are pictured, many are not, and I am eternally grateful for the people I met and that I have known. I will miss every second of it, but I am the luckiest person in the world to have lived it all.

Did it my way.

I’m thankful for the endless support I’ve had throughout my college career from my friends and family. From the lifelong friends @ucfato has introduced me to, to my friends who have created memories I’ll remember forever. To my family, who are the pillar of my support system, this one is for you and thank you for everything.
