Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is Matti McBride, BSN 🥳🩺🖤💛

Nursing school, with my people, will always be something I’m so grateful for. It required true grit and determination, but it was also a time where friends became family and we were never alone because we had each other! It’s truly something I can’t explain unless you have been through nursing school yourself. Watching each of us grow, learn, and have each other’s backs at all times is something I couldn’t be more thankful for. Each and every one of these people worked so hard to get to this point, and WE DID IT! God is so good and even when we were all terrified we weren’t going to make it to the next semester, God got us through because he gave us each other! So thank you to my cohort! You truly have no idea how much each of y’all mean to me and I wouldn’t have gotten through this without each one of you!

Also, thank you to Mike, my parents and the rest of our family and friends who always supported me and cheered me on! I love y’all so much and I am so grateful that y’all were some of my biggest cheerleaders through the past 3 1/2 years! I couldn’t have done it without y’all either!

When 8 years of “let me tell your nurse” turns into “oh sh*t, I am your nurse” 🫠

So incredibly thankful for all of my people. I truthfully could not have made it without each and every one of you 🫶🏻

I absolutely would not recommend an accelerated 15 month nursing degree unless you want to cry, starve, and genuinely question your life decisions daily. But by the grace of God I made it through with a lot of prayer before every exam and clinical. He has been so good to me and has blessed me with the best people at a time in my life He knew I needed them most. Thank you Andy for giving me the best people 🫶🏻

Third degree’s the charm!!!! 🩺

Choosing to completely start over and shift careers 15 months ago was undoubtedly the scariest decision I have ever made, but I can honestly say it was the most life altering and rewarding decision I have ever made for myself. This journey has given me my favorite people and favorite memories, and despite the hardship that is nursing school (iykyk) I will forever count these memories as some of my most joyful and fulfilling. What’s meant for you will always find its way to you… even if it takes a few extra stops along the way. Through it all, He was and is good and faithful. Praise Jesus for clarity and a calling to fulfill my biggest dream. Andy, you’ll always have a piece of my heart!!!! 💞
