Hotel Joél: one night only, and BABY, what a night it was! 🎬 @joeldamanysteingold really said, “Let me give y’all an experience,” and delivered a whole production🗝️. Joel, you transported us for the night, and we were more than happy to go along for the ride. The kind of night that reminds you how special it is to celebrate someone who deserves to be celebrated. 10/10, would check in again. 🥂❤️

Live Art piece for The Growth Spot Afrofuturism Fundraiser social

From doing live art for the @growthspotsquad to seeing it on display tru’s comics, this was a dope experience to be a part of!

For context, The Growth Spot is a non-profit owned by a group of brothers who bought 40 acres of land with a mission to build a future of agriculture, means of sustainability and rights of passage camps for youth to flourish. They had thrown a fundraiser social to help fund this mission and it was an amazing experience to witness community, growth and laughs shared this night.

After the event, I wondered where this piece would be displayed until I stopped by True’s bookstore the following week to purchase some gift books for Dad. Sure enough I got the cherry on top seeing it displayed at his shop! What a joy it is to see more of my work in spaces that matter and creatively help make a difference for the community. Thank you @rhealone and @virtuoso_community_solutions for having me come paint the good words shared this night. Was grateful to be in the presence of goal-focused, like-minded individuals. 💜

If you’d like a live artist to come paint an on-theme piece for your event, feel free to DM or email me with your vision and we’ll see what we can make happen!

The Growth Spot Foundation's Inaugural AFROFUTURISM L.E.G.A.C.Y Fundraising Social was much more than an event, we celebrated the future of Culture, Art, Literature, Technology, and Innovation while fundraising for a cause greater than any one person.

For us, this is about Community, Collaboration, and leaving a L.E.G.A.C.Y for the generations to come by investing in the future of our youth. The concepts of Sankofa and Each One, Teach One are a reality The Growth Spot Foundation incorporated through our community workshops hosted locally and the L.E.G.A.C.Y Camps we host for our young men annually.

We need your help to reach our goal of securing a passenger van that to be used to transport young leaders in the Valley back and forth to our 37.5 acres of land near St. Johns Arizona.

If you believe in supporting and building something that will last far beyond the present moment, become a sponsor, support our mission, make a donation, and share this post with someone who believes in restoring our communities back to a safe place for generations to come.

When you think about the future you want to help create, what is one thing we must cultivate today so that the next generation can inherit something greater than what we received?

NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS…

Nobody talks about what it takes to actually BUILD a legacy.

It's not just an idea.
It's resources.
It's land.
It's skills.
It's community.
It's people willing to show up.

Tomorrow, we bring that conversation into one room.

🚨 LAST CHANCE: Get your ticket and receive a FREE raffle entry with your purchase.

Highlighting an amazing nonprofit and group of wonderful men in the AZ community who are making big moves to support our youth and community through L.E.G.A.C.Y. — Love, Equity, Growth, Ancestry, Cooperation, and Yield.

Join us for an elevated evening celebrating heritage, innovation, and the future of community leadership. This is your opportunity to support the work they are doing.

Mama had a TIME in the 305. 😂🌴🍹

Miami owes me absolutely nothing. 🥂

Fun fact: this was my first girls’ trip since becoming a wife and a mama. 😌

Now… back to my regularly scheduled programming. 🥰❤️

WHAT DO YOU HOPE PEOPLE WILL SAY THAT YOU BUILT?

Years from now, when people look back at the work we did today, what will remain?

At The Growth Spot Foundation, we're building more than structures on 37.5 acres.

We're building L.E.G.A.C.Y.

❤️ Love
⚖️ Equity
🌱 Growth
🌍 Ancestry

🌾 Yield

We're creating a place where people can learn by doing, develop practical skills, cultivate the land, build community, and create opportunities that can reach generations beyond us.

And now, we're inviting YOU to become part of what we're building.

The inaugural AfroFuturism L.E.G.A.C.Y. Fundraising Social is more than an event. It's an opportunity to connect with the vision, meet the people building it, and help move that vision forward.
