Shadowface is watching.
And this time, he’s not alone.

They say he’s just a story — a ghost tale passed down through generations.
But stories don’t kill people.
Not unless they’re true.

When a brutal murder shakes the town and the old legend wakes up hungry, I’m dragged into a spiral of obsession, desire, and secrets that cut deeper than any knife.

Two boys circle me like sin wrapped in skin —
one dark and dangerous, the other golden and delicious.
Both of them want something from me.
Both of them are lying.

As the whispers grow louder and the shadows close in, I’m pulled into a web of rivalry, murder, and a past that refuses to stay buried.
And the deeper I go, the more I start to understand:

The only way out…
might be to become the legend itself.

Pretty Little Island by @rhearyanwrites
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am officially obsessed! This book has been on my TBR forEVER and I couldn’t wait one more minute to devour it.

🚨@littlewickedbookbox’s dark romance sub box features Pretty Little Island this month! Last day to order is 11/10 - use code CALDREADS10🚨

THOUGHTS 💭
🏒 This book is so mysterious - what happened in London’s past? Who are all of these new players on the chessboard? What’s going to happen to all of them? Who will survive?
🔪 We start out in a prep school setting, which gives more “college” vibes; I loved the hierarchy and the dynamics between these characters.
🏒 There is a sharp departure from wealthy, upper-crust prep school to the wilderness after the plane crash; out in the wild, it’s baser, more primal, and adrenaline-fueled, as our characters try to survive.
🔪 Oh my gosh, I just could not put this book down! My stomach was in knots as I watched this story unfold. The tension from the plane crash and what happens after kept me on my toes and the pages turning.
🏒 I loved that the story was a first-hand account from the FMC’s perspective AND through her journal! You see a greater depth to the story because of this.

I ate this up and can’t wait for more.

🔥 $0.99 DARK ROMANCE SALE 🔥
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to dive into @rhearyanwrites world… babe, this is it.

SHADOWFACE is only $0.99 from Nov 26–Dec 2 in the US, UK, CA + AU.

He was my nameless monster, lurking in the shadows of my dreams. A constant presence in the depths of the night. A kiss, a caress, and a night so passionate I questioned my sanity.

My first day of class at Kinsmen University changes everything. A leaked photo, a dead body, and a man who rises from the grave. I never thought in my wildest dreams the one who haunts me is a three-hundred-year-old legend.

For years, the name Shadowface invoked terror and fear to those that heard it. He’s an entity, an ancient evil that’s taken the lives of more people than I can count.

It turns out the monster in my dreams is real, the demon causing my dark desires. And I need to find out exactly who he is before he destroys me.
Don’t miss out!
