Dear mental health,

I know you are tired and exhausted from the continuous effort of uplifting me whenever i feel low. You and me both agree, by now, that it's all a spiral, afterall. But I want you to know, I am nothing without you. You make me, me.

I am getting to know you better, now, more than ever.

I have all the time in the world, just for you. I won't divide that with anyone.

I think you are brave. Brave for, standing on your own, even when you felt constantly pulled down. For pushing me to take that one step, from the bed towards other, less dark rooms...

Brave, for sustaining all my negative thoughts and consistently trying to replace them with a less distorted version of my imagination...

Brave, for fighting the crude remarks you faced, of being lazy, on a mentally ill day, or being labelled erratic. You and I couldn't explain it to them, but we still made it, till here.

Over time, I might have lost all my connections, but this understanding between you and me has become stronger. The understanding that you will, from now on, always come first, because one thing that's worse than this pandemic, is losing you.

Love,

Your physical self.
