Heck of a senior year for @rhettcstrauss as he wraps things up in Drip! Missed his junior year with TJ surgery. Battled back and posted a 1.34 ERA with 19 Ks in 12 appearances out of the pen this year for one of the best 6A programs in the state while garnering Honorable Mention Academic All-State and Academic All-District honors plus state recognition in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event. And, it a’int over yet! Early graduation ceremony last night from @dshstigers since the @dstigerbaseball team is still playing with a deep run in the playoffs, then it’s on to @coastalbendbaseball in August for the big lefty. Thanks to Coach Payne and the staff for building an amazing program and never giving up on Rhett. And thanks to the entire Dripping Springs community where the @the.strauss.haus and I are proud to call home. #bamo #trusttheprocess🙏

That’s a wrap ✌️

Tearing my hamstring and missing my senior season definitely wasn’t my plan, but a lot of good came from it. I was somehow able to make it back to throw an out on senior night before reinjuring it, which was a huge blessing. I also have been blessed with an amazing team that has made it possible to get through all the struggles with an injury like that. Baseball has given me the best relationships, lessons, and made me who I am now, and I will forever be grateful. I want to thank God, family, my best friends, our elite managers, and my teammates for making my last season so special and for blessing me with an amazing few months. I wouldn’t want to finish my career with any other group of guys. While my career has come to a close, the team’s season hasn’t and I’m so blessed I get to watch and support such a great group of guys as they push through playoffs. Thank you again to everyone who’s been part of my journey through baseball, and thank you baseball for the memories and making me who I am today. I will miss you. 20 out ❤️
