Dear Softball,
You have given me the best 12 years of my life and I couldn’t thank you enough!! For every good moment and for every bad one it’s been the sport I never gave up on! It will forever hold a special place in my heart and I couldn’t be more grateful!!

Thank you to my coaches for always pushing, never giving up on me, making me the person who I am and for pushing me to become a better athlete and of course letting me play through the pain of an injury.

A BIG thank you to my parents. You guys always showed up for me and pushed me to become the best athlete I can be. For the long and hot hours at CCC with my dad, the car rides home talking about how I can get a better swing, how I can be a better teammate, and how my attitude and effort reflects on and off the field!

For my amazing teammates, sisters, and life long friendships. Thank you! I couldn’t be more blessed to have spent my years playing this sport with the best teammates by my side! You guys are the most supportive loving and the best of friends! Through my highs and lows you guys showed up and were there for me! I really don’t know who or where I would be without you guys!!

Saying goodbye to this sport is going to be tough but all the memories I created, all the friendships that I made and all the life lessons I learned I will always remember and be appreciative for!

DAY 2: @thefcateam is on a mission at the NCAA'S Wrestling Championships with teammates from Washington, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina at Rudis "Fanfest"! In the morning we as a team went to the "Champions Breakfast" hosted by @sportslifewrestling, it was a blessing and the unity, set the tone for the day, amazing.

First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with the opportunity, strength, and perseverance to compete in this sport for so many years and for also blessing me with great people in my life.

Not the ending I pictured, but I’m grateful for the journey. Wrestling has been a huge part of my life for a long time, and it gave me more than wins and losses ever could. The early mornings, the weight cuts, the tough losses, the big wins, it all shaped me into the person I am today.

Losing in the blood round at nationals hurts, especially knowing it may have been the last time I compete. But I’m proud of how far this sport took me and the people it brought into my life. Being part of teams that won 6 team titles during my college career is something I’ll always be grateful for.

For now, I’m going to take some time to heal and reflect, and evaluate whether I’ll lace up the shoes again or stay in the sport in a different way through coaching.

Thank you to my coaches, teammates, family, and everyone who supported me along the way!! I wouldn’t be here without any of you and I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything!!

No matter what’s next, wrestling will always be part of who I am. #championshiplifestyle #clackbiz
