been waiting to make this post for a while.

After 2 months of being away from performing in the activity, it has given me time to reflect on all of the hardships and memories that I made over these past 3 years.

DCI and WGI are so vastly different but one thing remains constant, the friendships. These are people that you have to be with for 90 days or 6 months and you grow so close that they feel like a second family. This activity has given me so many new families and I am forever grateful for all of my homies that I’ve gotten to know through 2 different organizations!

Both mediums share another thing in common as well, they teach you how to overcome obstacles in any possible way. It could be as small as achieving a hard to reach dot on the field to the bus breaking down with no A/C and you have 150 miles until the next housing site. It is all about how you react to those moments and those little things can help shape you for the rest of your life in the professional world.

Again, I am thankful to @genesisdbctx and @rhythmicforce for being there for me when I needed this activity the most and giving me a chance to perform on the biggest stage that this medium has to offer.

Finally, I feel the closure and I am at peace with my time in the marching arts.

Pics go all the way back from my first week of DCI to my last days of indoor!

Can’t wait for what this next chapter has in store for me.

10 Days of Reflection - Day 8: WGI Dayton

WGI Dayton was an absolute blast this year, and it was great photographing for @drumlineav @jhoneymedia ! We shot every single PIW group in prelims, and spent the next two days forming great memories with individual groups capturing their performances. There is truly nothing in the marching arts more special than UD Arena!

Fun fact: we took nearly 10,000 photos during the course of the weekend and turned them around to members in great time! Until next time, Dayton!
