Creating artwork for people I love is my favorite thing. This piece was created as an extension of the home and the people who fill it—open, welcoming, and quietly full of life. Soft layers, generous white space, and gentle movement allow the painting to breathe, creating a sense of calm and lightness within the room. Nothing is overworked; instead, the composition leans into restraint and openness, allowing each mark to feel intentional and at ease.

Curvilinear forms move throughout the piece like conversation around a table—flowing, connected, and continuous. Circular elements subtly echo the idea of unity: five individuals woven together as one strong and loving family. Leaf-shaped forms emerge throughout the composition as well, each one angled outward on its own trajectory—suggesting individuality, growth, and the unique paths each family member will take. Yet none of them feel disconnected. Each form remains grounded within the whole, supported by the movement, balance, and strength of the collective.

There is warmth here, but not heaviness. The palette stays soft and ethereal, reflecting both the airy architecture of the space and the kindness and generosity that define the home itself.

The painting is less about filling space and more about creating it—space to gather, to exhale, to share meals, stories, laughter, and life together. It reflects a family that gives freely, loves deeply, and creates a sense of belonging for everyone who enters their home.

(What an honor to create this for them.)
I love you guys! ✨
