a love letter to Miami💌

With 2025 ending, and me living in Texas for 4 months now, I thought I would write a love letter to Miami❤️‍🔥 I moved to Miami from Nebraska when I was 21 and had about $200 to my name. I lived there for 3 years, in arguably some of the most formative years as a person, my early 20s. With out a doubt, I learned, struggled, grew, achieved, loved, adapted, discovered, connected, lost, rebuilt, evolved in so many different ways. It’s hard to even try to sum-up my time in Miami. I will forever be grateful for Miami-Dade and Broward for me giving me so much. I met some of my favorite, most supportive people there, that I hope will remain in my life for the rest of it. I got to experience so much, transform many times, and achieve so many things I never thought were possible for me. Most importantly, in my opinion, I got to learn so much about myself and grow closer with myself than ever before. Miami and all of the great memories I made, will forever be apart of me. And while it was sad to close this chapter, I am so excited for all the new things ahead. I am so glad I took a chance on myself, it’s so crazy to think about the things and people I wouldn’t have in my life now, if I wouldn’t have taken that chance. Miami, thank you for holding me while I stepped into myself🥂❤️‍🔥

Beyond blessed once again to represent team USA, without God I wouldn’t have been blessed with this opportunity. China was a trip of a lifetime, got to watch some of the best high jumpers in the world compete. I didn’t show out like I had hoped I would, but being able to watch and learn from my competitors is more than I could have ever dreamed of. Competed for team USA again and made more friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
