One thing I’ve noticed about my travel style lately is that no matter where I go, I always seem to find my way to a museum or a beautiful park.

During a recent trip to Richmond, Virginia, we spent time exploring Maymont Park and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, two places that reminded me just how much art, history, and beautiful spaces can enrich a travel experience.

I came home with a new addition to my growing book collection featuring works by Van Gogh, Monet, and Degas. I’ve found myself becoming more interested in art, history, and the stories behind the places we visit.

I’ve realized that travel isn’t just about checking destinations off a list. It’s about discovering what makes a place unique, slowing down long enough to appreciate it, and bringing a little piece of that experience home with you.

The book may be my souvenir from Richmond, but the museum, the park, and the experience itself are what I’ll remember most.

And shout out to Lulu’s Restaurant! Brunch was 🔥 and the playlist was even better. If you’re in Richmond, VA and looking for a great brunch spot, pay them a visit and be sure to order their Bloody Mary. Trust me on this one! 🍹

(by Oswald) For only the second time, the humans invited me to join them for a meal at a restaurant. (Both meals have been with bearded human’s sister.) I made sure emphatically to express my desires to the humans. While I did not receive a cocktail, I was rewarded with country ham.
