On Sunday, May 3rd, I graduated from illustrious Fisk University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Though I shall be celebrating, I believe some thank-yous are in order.

First, thank you, God, for keeping me near, guiding me on my path, and blessing me with all the wonderful things you have given me on this journey.

Thank you to my support system back home, especially my mother and father. You both have seen me at my worst and have guided me toward a better path. I hope I made you both proud.

Thank you to the friends and sisters I made at Fisk. I treasure each and every one of you and am so blessed to have you in my life. You made this chapter of my life so enjoyable and memorable, and I will cherish these memories forever.

Thank you to Dean Curry for inviting me into the chapel and giving me another family at Fisk. Through you, I truly grew closer to God. You have been my biggest inspiration in reconnecting with my faith.

Thank you to all my professors and staff at Fisk. Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. I hope I made you proud during my time here.

Thank you to SGA, Class Cabinet, and the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., for allowing me to represent you all. I hope I represented you well. I love each and every one of you. Through the stressors of life and events, I know you all will flourish beyond Fisk.

Cheers to the class of 2026. May many more celebrations be ahead!

I love you all, my Fisk Family 💛💙

“Things that are worthwhile… and with a smile”

To the Fine Pi Chapter: Thank you for paving the way. Thank you for choosing me to be apart of the FIRST chapter chartered in the South Eastern Region. I am forever grateful for you teaching me dedication, perseverance, poise, and integrity.

To my Pros: Thank you for always supporting me and always being a phone call away. I can always count on you for anything I need. Thank you for being the big sisters I never had, I appreciate you for everything.

26 Pearlfect Harmonies: Thank you for always being there for me. For making me laugh, wiping my tears and being the best sisters i could ask for. Growing up, I always wanted sisters and now I have 25. I am so glad AKA brought us all together and I will cherish all the memories we have forever. No matter how far apart, you will always be in my heart.

To the 25 B.L.E.S.S.I.N.G.S of Pi: I’m so glad I was able to be apart of your experience in joining the best sorority. I hope I have shown you what it means to be a lady of Fine Pi. I’m so proud of each of you. I can’t wait to see how all of you grow in the sorority. Continue to honor and carry on the Pi legacy with poise and grace.

To Tamika, Tiffany, and LaKisha: Thank you for your guidance and direction. I could not ask for better examples. From the late night calls to early morning wake ups, I am grateful for it all. You have instilled in me that I am more than capable of taking on anything I put my mind to. It’s hard to believe I once was too shy to speak up, but you all helped me find my voice and the confidence to lead.

Thank you Alpha Kappa Alpha. Thank you Pi Chapter.

I adjourn this chapter at 19:08 👩🏾‍⚖️

A Daughter ever on the Altar 🎓

First and foremost, thank you God. I thank you for covering me, guiding me, and giving me the strength to keep going, even when I didn’t know how I would. None of this would’ve been possible without your grace, love, and mercy. 🙌🏽💟

To the Illustrious Fisk University:

Thank you for being more than just a school. You chose me at a time when I didn’t know where I was headed— I just knew I needed to be at an HBCU. I was supposed to go on a college tour my junior year of highschool, but it never happened. And now I know why. I realize that was never a mistake — that was alignment. God already knew the perfect place for me. Within your gates, I found purpose, community, and a version of myself I fought hard to become. I’ll carry your legacy with me wherever I go.

“Friendship is Essential to the Soul!”

First and foremost, I need to thank God as he is the source of my strength and light of my life . I would not be anywhere without him and his grace and mercy especially after the loss of my father. He has been with me every step of the way and I owe all of my success to him.

To my chapter. I’m beyond grateful to have served during my time as a member in the following capacities:
	•	2x Omega Man of the Year
	•	2023–2024 Basileus
	•	Higher Aspiration Scholar
	•	Chapter of the Year Award (with my LBs)

To my LBs – Thank you for the unforgettable memories, the brotherhood, and for always holding it down through every high and low. I couldn’t have asked for better men to walk this journey with. One day, maybe we’ll finally get Jalon to stop being cat…

To my pros: You all are the epitome of reliability. Whether it was guidance, support, or simply showing up when it mattered most, you demonstrated what true leadership and brotherhood look like.

To Spring ‘24 and ‘25 – Y’all are some of the funniest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. It’s been an honor helping bring in such solid brothers. Keep growing, keep grinding, and keep living up to your full potential—I’m proud of every one of you.

To my father – You’ve not only shown me what it means to lead, to serve, and to be a man of Omega but most importantly you taught me how to treat others and the true meaning of servitude. Thank you for everything. I love you forever.💜
