Last night, the @chicagocultureball took over the Obama Presidential Center!

Thank you to Eventnoire for allowing me to handle the PR for this event.

I love watching this new generation of galas redefine how we celebrate culture. More than 700 tastemakers, cultural icons, creatives and business leaders came together to celebrate Chicago’s impact on culture, not only nationally, but around the world.

Famed artist @hebrubrantley, legendary blues icon @therealbuddyguy, Grammy Award-winning artist @j_ivy and @chicagodonc were among the 20 incredible honorees celebrated throughout the evening.

A great night for Chicago, culture and the people continuing to move it forward. #DWPR

Still overwhelmed.

Four days later, I’m still reflecting on the goodness and faithfulness of God.

This past Sunday, I was installed as Pastor of @wearecrosstown, surrounded by family, friends, clergy colleagues, civic leaders, mentors, and a church family that I love deeply.

To everyone who attended, served, prayed, encouraged, traveled, gave, and celebrated with us — thank you.

To my family, our Installation Committee, our volunteers, our special guests, and our Presiding Bishop @bishoplwgatessr, thank you for helping make this sacred moment so meaningful.

The road to this moment has included blessings and burdens, victories and valleys, open doors and difficult seasons. Looking back, I am reminded that God’s Word is true: all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

But this weekend was not simply about what God has done.

It was about what God is still doing.

Crosstown Chicago was founded to be a safe place to grow in grace—a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, Scripture-rooted community in the heart of the city we love.

This was not a coronation. It was a commissioning.

And by God’s grace, the best days of Crosstown are still ahead.

If you’re looking for a church home, we’d love to welcome you.

If you’re searching for community, we’d love to walk alongside you.

If you believe in what God is building through Crosstown, we’d be honored to have your support.

Let’s see what God does next.
