Sometimes it’s not about why you left. It’s about what your leaving did to the people who stayed. Sometimes you just need distance. To protect yourself. To figure out who you are outside of who everyone expects you to be. But the people on the other side might see it different. You abandoned us. You changed. You think you’re better than us. You forgot where you came from. Same family. Same separation. Two completely different experiences. That’s what I love about this scene with Johnny and Flaco. First and foremost I’d like to thank my brother @jaazfvega for making this event possible for me. This is for those that don’t know my story. I’m a proud person and wear it on my chest, so here it is. This past summer I survived a drug overdose and within a month of changing my life around for the better, I get into a motorcycle accident with someone I looked up to not only as a friend, but as a brother. Sadly he passed away on scene. We were a few feet away from each other separated by the guardrail. I was on the grass while he was on the pavement. I thought I saw him standing up perfectly fine, come to think of it, it must’ve been his spirit. His name was Dario. Memories of the accident still randomly flood my mind. I love and miss him everyday. Now when we loose someone dear to us, we all tend to grieve a lot but sometimes it can affect our actual lives themselves. I know the best way to honor him wouldn’t be grieving, but to live an honest life and to be a good person. All this to say God gave me not a second chance, but a third chance at life. Obviously I’m here for a reason. Still trying to figure that out though. I’m so grateful to everyone that came out to support me during these troubling times. And I love each and every one of you. Words couldn’t describe the emotions I felt that day. I hope after reading this I can be an inspiration to those that felt like when they lost everything, they may feel like they have no one to talk to, or that the world is against them.
