Are you missing trout because of one small detail in your chironomid setup? 🎣

Chironomid fishing can be frustrating because the smallest details can change everything. The depth you're fishing, the way your fly is presented, and how you respond to what the trout are telling you can all play a role.

That's why we're bringing Phil Rowley to The Fly Fishing Bootcamp for Trout Anglers.

Phil is presenting:
🎣 Chironomid Fishing: The Small Details That Trigger More Takes on Stillwaters

If you've ever spent a morning on a lake wondering why the trout aren't cooperating, this is a session you'll want to catch.

And Phil is just one of 20+ speakers joining us for four days of fly fishing instruction covering everything from dry flies and nymphing to streamers, casting, fly tying, and stillwater fishing.

Perfect conditions aren’t always the prettiest ones. Cloud cover and a bit of wind are usually a good bet when chasing seatrout. You immediately feel the weight of these big fish, the best feeling in the world. Las Buitreras at its finest!

Sometimes, everything goes even better than anticipated.

Such was case for @rickkustich and a few other friends of Swing The Fly on our 2026 “Swing For Kings” trip to western Alaska with @reelactionflyfishing .

Rick recaps the trip for us in Issue 26.3 with a write-up and NSFW photo gallery.

Not Safe For Work because you might be inspired to take off work when we go back in 2027 !

A school of sea-run brown trout at Estancia Las Buitreras. Always incredible to see them moving through shallow water.

Those hook-ups at Las Buitreras are simply addictive — from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat. Especially when you hook a hot fish like this one. These fish amaze us every single year!
