💥 100 KILOMETER! 💥
Onze topper Julio heeft dit weekend iets ongelofelijks neergezet: een ultra run van 100 kilometer, verdeeld over 10 rondes van 10 km. 😮‍💨💪

Het was, zoals hij zelf zegt, vooral een mentale strijd — maar één die hij heeft gewonnen. Kilometer na kilometer, stap voor stap, op doorzettingsvermogen en karakter. 🧠🔥

We zijn ongelofelijk trots op je, Julio. Wat een prestatie. Wat een doorzetter! 🙌

Forest = for rest. ✨🌲💚 The forest is most of the time here the place for me to go and escape into nature...

As a kid I grew up not near enough to a forest to go every day but my family drove us to the forest almost every weekend. As we don't have mountains and the beach was a bit further, this was our piece of nature to explore in. 🌲 From climbing trees to building huts to digging in the dunes, going for a picknick or playing games, spend loads of time there. When growing a bit older and riding horses in the forest, it became a place for me to relax, search for peace or quietness. 🍃

Now I also find myself going to the forest to recharge, document it, walk the dog, move my body or spend time with friends. A visit in the forest is never waisted ☺️

A while ago, @ricklambregtsfilms & I went to the forest because in between creating client work and the busyness of life, you can sometimes forget to create for yourself. So the goal was to catch up and experiment a little with creative techniques and practice our storytelling/ editing / filmmaking skills. And this is the result I edited. Initially it was a more fast phased edit mixed with other clips but this felt more calming and fitting to the feeling I get when being in the forest!🌳

Facinating, how you can have such blindness to the country you are born in. Honestly, I used to be a little embarrassed saying I'm Dutch. I used to hate my country. 🫣 Big words but I'm mostly (some friends deny it) a calm and introvert person craving the wild mountain, stillness & the sea. And of course, the Netherlands isn't really close to the mountains. We do have sea but as a kid I used to hate the crowds there so I didn't like it at first. It's such a freaking clique but the traveling has made me look different to my own country. Appreciate that I can visit my friends so easily, go from city to city. (Will include cities in a later post) And our forests can be pretty beautiful! ✨🌲

Though it's been a gloomy week now and I'm craving to see a good sunset, I also now know how wonderful our little country can be. So here's an appreciation post for the nature and some of my favorite moments at home.🇳🇱 🧡
