NAB 2026 was amazing, what a great opportunity to learn from the best manufacturers, engineers and integrators in the film and TV industries.

Video and audio over IP featuring the new SMPTE 2110 seem to be at the top of everyone’s list for integration and signal distribution and management, of course NDI and Dante are also in the same race, everywhere you turn there are 10GB and 100GB data ports on cameras, switchers, routers, instant replay systems, it is very interesting to see how such a new technology and protocol seems to be leading the effort.

Another big feature being offered by many manufacturers is cloud data management, specially for realtime multiuser editing remotely.

We had a great time, too much to see, too many vendors and manufacturers to visit, meet or negotiate with, but “there is no crying in baseball”, so we just got it done anyways.

There are too many cool reviews and product highlights to include on one post but a few really stand out:

Black Magic Design new 12K cinema and broadcast cameras and 2110 switchers, routers, recorders, and workflow are very cool and efficient, and their new Fairlight Live audio consoles are over the top also the New Davinci Resolve is next level including a new instant replay feature.

Qtake’s newest release is robust and beefy, and offers the most reliable proprietary hardware capture and playback in the video assist world.

Kiloview has some very beefy and robust SRT encoders and decoders and offer an entire ecosystem for local and remote live workflows.

Wave Central and Domo released the most versatile line of wireless video systems in the market, from micro 4K transmitters to full size long range RF mesh systems and live wireless color grading.

Lots of cool new features and products from Ross, Panasonic, Sony, Grass Valley, Arri, SKAARHOJ, Miri, AJA, atomos, tilta

...And that's how you do it. You fall, you stand up on your feet again, you celebrate, you send your gratitude to the universe. I turned 32 yesterday, and felt loved, blessed, hopeful and grateful.
.
Also felt the anxiety of the years passing with some dreams yet to realize. Nonetheless, I held onto the "present", the gift of the "here and now", knowing that the future is just a mirage. Thank you to the ones that made me feel especial yesterday.
.

"All your roads lead you exactly where you are supposed to be" I think back at that statement often, but especially as I sit here at 5am this morning writing this post. I am grateful and thankful for all moments in my life. There are no bad times, just lessons and blessings. I am thankful for God. For waking up and getting to do what I love every day for work. For being a 23 year old bad***. For being able to close more shows in Q4 than I ever have and kicking butt with my friends and coworkers in an industry that has been 90% closed during a pandemic. For music. For the people I am surrounded with the most. For a mom who even though we argue, always puts me first. For my own blood family who never hesistates if I need something. For a tight friend circle that has become my closest family. For all of the amazing mentors in my life, even the ones I might argue with or not like all the time as I know they are just pushing me to be better and reach my full potential. For an amazing boss. For staying healthy during COVID. For being able to have a formal college education and to be able to access resources to continue learning and continue educating myself. For the ability to vote. For being independent. For everything that I have worked hard for and earned. To be honest lately I haven't been in the best mood and this morning really snapped me out of it because just writing this really shows me how much I have to be grateful for. Thank you to new friends and everyone I've interacted with this year. All of the experiences we go through shape us and I am grateful for how you have truly impacted my life!! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with their family and friends. (Insta only let's me tag 20 people or I would have tagged everyone!!!! )

#throwbackthursday to 2015 when I lived in downtown Miami & used pallets as my coffee table 😍 they were honestly so cute! The unit had carpet everywhere 🙈 so I ripped it out, polished & sealed the cement 😍 the floors and coffee table were always a conversation piece! I found some oldies but goodies in the archive, swipe to see 🥰

He who finds a wife, finds what is good Psalm 18:22 Yokany and Cristian... I was humbled to be able to celebrate this day with you! You both are goals. It’s awesome to see how God brought you two together and seeing how you put Him in the center is inspiring. I know your marriage will be nothing but blessings and filled with joy, as you walk this journey of life together with Him. Love you both more than I can say. Honored to call friends and excited to see this next stage of life for you both! Mazel Tov from your Jew——ish brother in Christ.!! #thisislivingnow #miaminights #thebestisstillyettocome #justamaninthehandsofgreatplans
