TONIGHT :: Silk Daisys ( @silkdaisys ) and Ricochet Star ( @ricochet.star ) play The Drunken Unicorn ( @thedrunkenunicornatl ) with special guest Conari ( @conari.db ). Tickets available online and at the door.

Silk Daisys is a dreampop band described by Clash Magazine as “a heavenly mesh of sound, a beautifully understated experience.” Karla and James are best friends who bonded over their appreciation for The Cure and eventually fell in love in a graveyard. Initially a two-piece studio project, they brought in their lifelong friends to play live shows.

Ricochet Star is a four-piece band from Atlanta, Georgia, drawing from dream pop, indie rock, and shoegaze to create lush, melodic songs with a nostalgic atmosphere. Made up of four friends who have been playing music together since childhood, the band’s long history together has helped shape the chemistry and sound heard throughout their music. Their debut EP, Every Moon, was released in January 2026 and features the single “By Your Hand.”

Ricochet Star — Every Moon (2026)

Every Moon has all the hallmarks of dreamy shoegaze—hazy guitars, buried vocals, and enough reverb to make everything feel slightly out of focus.

But Ricochet Star subverts a sound so often associated with memory and longing by using it to capture romance and the honeymoon phase of something new. Although this is shoegaze, so nothing good lasts forever.

Atlanta’s shoegaze-dreampop trio Ricochet Star turns longing into atmosphere. From the haunting “Every Moon” to soaring walls of guitar, it’s ethereal vocals, post-rock swells, and hooks that stick in your head like moonlight.
