This book came out from Emerald, and it’s really cool! I have a chapter in it, and a lot of the chapters are interesting! But it’s $130! So I ILL’d it because I wanted to see it! They haven’t even responded to my request for an electronic author copy. It’s too bad that probably no one will ever read this because the price is so absurd. Anyway, here’s some of the interior if you want to ILL it too. Maybe that will force a few uni libraries to buy it. (Thank you for housing a copy, Mizzou)

WEIRD MUSIC NIGHT @satelliteartshow Wednesday, August 12, 7-10pm Ric Royer is a writer, performer, performer of writings and writer of performances. Ric is the founder and Artistic Director of the Psychic Readings Co, a performance collective that has entertained, frightened, and confused audiences with their interdisciplinary hysterics since 1999. The company has produced their strange brand of challenging and original theatre work which has been staged at various venues in the U.S. and Europe, including the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre, The D.C. Arts Center, the Maryland Institute for Contemporary Art, Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, Baltimore Theatre Project, Collapsible Hole and Rhizome. Weird Music Night, curated and conceptualized by artist and professor John O’Donnell, emerged as a response to a need for creative freedom and experimentation in sound and performance art. The event is rooted in O’Donnell’s extensive experience as both a performer and a participant in international performance festivals, as well as his interest in fostering an experimental, collaborative space for artists and musicians.
