Foot stayed firmly on the gas this month 🏎️

Chain gangs, hill climbs, many K’s ridden at higher intensity than they should have been. Huge month for my riding as well as my mates - chasing @danpettitt_ round Tenby and watching him become an Ironman is up there with my more proud moments 🙌

Gunna be hard to top this one…

Been quite a busy week for @rjp_cycles team this week, for myself racing @andy_smith_events Thursday evening supermarine CX races a brilliant but tough series & bagged myself a 4th.

Saturday saw the team at 1st round of @centralcxl hosted by @zigguratracing on a hot day on a absolutely fantastic course 👌🏼 top & tailing the start grid the boss @jrpcar had a blinder & got the teams 1st win 🥇 well done boss 😊 & I managed a happy 4th.
Sunday saw myself at the 1st round of @westerncxleague hosted by @cheltenhamandcounty on what looked like a compact area but also turned out to be a bumpy fast tough but mega course & I managed a well chuffed 2nd place 🥈 & a bottle of beer 🍺 (which my son pinched)🤣 .
Now off for a little lie down & waiting to see how @jrpcar got on @westmidscyclocrossleague race in Coventry🤞.

Not sure where to start with this…

For years I’ve said I’d love to give a proper race a go, but deep down I found the idea terrifying.

I finally mustered up the courage to give one a go with the help of @maxwilko • Darley Moor was an obvious choice after watching the @la_vetta_cc boys last year, so signed on to the Cat 3/4 hosted by @hausraceteam

60 minutes of wet, cold, brutal, full tilt bike riding ended up being one of the most rewarding and insane experiences I’ve had on a road bike. Despite not being able to see for most of it as a result of the spray, I actually placed better than I thought (not last). Likely would have placed better had I not miscounted the laps and actually sprinted!

3 new power PB’s in one day is a sign of a good one in my books.

Absolutely class event hosted and ridden by some really welcoming and encouraging people. Can’t even explain how much I was sh*tting myself about this, but everyone was so sound, offered so much advice and honestly, shattered the gate keepy, scary expectation I had for it. I will definitely be back for more…

Unless it’s raining… not doing that again 💀

If you’re thinking of starting crit racing. Darley is the place to go! 🤝
