Join Kissena Cycling Club on October 24th at our sponsor shop, Ride Brooklyn, for a chill group ride over the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan, north to the George Washington Bridge, over into New Jersey, and north on 9W for coffee and snacks in Piermont, NY.

Kissena is a cycling club in New York City, founded in 1963 and open to members of all ages and genders and levels of racing. We welcome occasional riders, regular riders, and dedicated racers. We are member-run, with a board democratically elected by our members each year. While racing bikes is our primary mission, we’re a very active club with regular weekend group rides each, mid-week training/development rides, as well as other recreational and training opportunities. Members are always out for rides in and around the city, and you can usually find someone to ride with.

It was so beautiful hosting such a special exhibition for my father, also known as Fast Eddie. He had documented bikers and their lifestyle, and the streets of NY in the late 80s through 2000s until his passing. Hosting such memorable moments like this feels like seeing my biker family in the living room we had grew up in. To create a space for lost art to still reach to new generations to the OGs is very enduring and I’m grateful for all that came out🙏🏽

I want to thank @ridebrooklyn for having us, @cyclehawk @tak_nyc for a precise curation, @drinksunboy for supporting and showing love to the community, @jenniejo100 for keeping the vibes up all night, @shigelushusha @ngg_ii for holding it down

Fast Eddie forever🚲✊🏽🖤 @fasteddiearchives

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our opening party on Saturday.

It’s been 10 years since Eddie passed away. We’re honored to share his original works at Ride Brooklyn through September 27, thanks to Nagi, Koko, and Kevin, who preserved and protected them all these years.

If you’re in NYC for the Bicycle Film Festival @bicyclefilmfestival please stop by @ridebrooklyn if you have a moment.

Come experience the spirit and energy of New York’s bike messenger community as Eddie saw it.
And if you were there, we hope it brings back the New York you remember.

WHAT HE SAW. WHAT WE REMEMBER.

This February, Kissena Cycling Club took our annual winter training camp trip back in Los Angeles. One of our major rides was climbing Mt Baldy again. The Mt Baldy climb is well known from the 2019 Tour of California (RIP) stage won by young neo-pro Tadej Pogacar. It is a beautiful steady climb and a fun descent, with good and helpful food in the village.

It sometimes feels like we’re building the plane as we fly it, but there’s definitely more structure in women’s bike racing now than ever before.

Is it good? Is it bad? That’s subjective! But it’s where we’re at!

We all know this ride isn’t about the prizes, but we also know everyone loves to have them. So, shout out to our amazing donors this year. It’s a hard time for many small businesses, which makes these gifts that much more meaningful.
🙏
Special shout out to three companies in particular, who have been here since day one. They donated to our first ride 10 years ago, and they never stopped.
@merbagsusa - custom bags

❤️
Thank you to these other amazing small businesses who have donated bike gear (locks, tools, lights, service credits, gift cards), bar tabs, yoga class passes, pedal straps, jerseys, and even money to help cover some operating costs.
💵
Please help us thank them by supporting their businesses, including @principlesbk for hosting the start and @transmitterbrewing for hosting the finish!
@bicycleroots - bike shop
@ridebrooklyn - bike shop
@bikeplantnyc - bike shop
@holdfastordie - pedal retention straps
@ostroynyc - cycling apparel
