Having a strong bank account with a weak body is like having a lifetime supply of gasoline to fuel a bicycle.

Yesterday, I raced.
Today, I run again.
Tired legs. Heavy body.
I woke up later than planned, and honestly, I almost skipped it. But I still hadn’t done my long run this week.

Better late than regretting not doing it at all.
Progress doesn’t wait until you feel ready. Sometimes, you just have to show up and take the first step.

Small wins every day.
Keep showing up. 🏃‍♂️🔥

Bentang Jawa wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine.
Most of the times it was saddle sore, carpal tunnel syndrome and headwinds. I was tired, thirsty, and hungry all the time. Whining became my middle name. But hey, we did it!
.
Thank you @cidrads for keeping up with my shit 🤣
Dragging me all the way throughout the island’s chaotic traffic and terrible tarmac.
Riding behind me through the long nights and got hypnotized by my tail light.
Waiting for me at the end of the climbs.
And we didn’t even close to have the urge to stab each other, did we?
It was indeed quite an enjoyable ride, if I look back.

“Kapan turun solo, Tas? I think you’d bring out the worst of me if you’re racing solo.”
- @cidrads

So instead of riding against her, I decided to ride along her on this year’s Bentang Jawa.
