Was blessed in Laos by some of the most intense local experiences, nicest hikes and a bunch of some of the best Ridgers I could wish for to accompany me.

Kopshay #laos will see you again soon

And the Lifetime Part II journey continues... _______________

The Buddha Smiled

Once again I found the Buddha sitting in serene silence
Their voices reciting their sanskrit mantras brought back the memories of the beginning
This journey has been long and tiresome between losing myself and finding that the Buddha has
Couldn't let my tears go again, fearing the lies I told myself last time

But this time I won't cheat it again
I won't claim to be the river that I once was
The winds and the sun don't trust my words anymore
I'm the ashes that the rotten burnt corpse has dispersed

Interrupted by his smile, my thoughts
Thinking again, but when did the thoughts ever have answers?
Thoughts bring worries and leave us anxious

Leave me here with the Buddha, he might tell me once again what he once said
On that hill with the red dome and the long staircase to the river bed
He pointed at my heart and smiled
He said that's it, that's where the lonesome ends

Immersed ourselves with the Omani locals in Wadi Fida over the weekend and learning their day to day culture was refreshing. One of the highlight was their mini get togethers in the middle of the mountain every night for tea/supper which we were very lucky to be a part of! 🤗Treading those villages and braving the heat — it’s rewarding when you reach the peak but the best part is you bring home with you those unforgettable memories in which you’ve discovered new things, walked the path of history and connected with communities 🏔 grateful for the unending hospitality and delicious meals!!! 👌👏🙏
