POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The 2026 edition of the Great River Ride p/b @newhorizonsbikes was a treat! The weather was mischievous: red sky at sunrise (“sailor’s warning!”) turned to grey, dry roads to wet, then fog to full, cold rain. But the foliage was at peak and the organization and crew were awesome, as usual. The baked potato stop was back to its usual spot at the top of East River Hill, and there was plentiful new pavement (and thankfully few fallen leaves on said pavement). I was legitimately cold after 101 miles (as were most who did the long routes) but the post-ride feast was warm, tasty, and filling!

Thanks to Mary (who snapped the first 📸) and @donpodolski for carrying on this awesome October tradition!

🚴‍♀️ Marco Polo! 📍

It was too beautiful of a morning to let an hour go to waste, so I hopped on the bike and went searching for my trail maintenance teammates @matts_mtbcrew & @billlieter ! 🚲 Found them putting in the work adding more trails at Crosswicks. 🌲

States is done and dusted, and with that, the 2026 season has come to an end. It was a great year as a team, growing together and learning how to race with each other to achieve team and individual results. We had a lot of fun too :)

This was my fifth and final year with @spectraracing . I co-founded it to try to support more women in cycling and racing and to give them a chance to belong on a team even if they didn’t have race results or weren’t at a certain category level. We knew we could help them grow and develop and we did that through group rides, clinics, and mentoring. It wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors so thank you to everyone who has supported Spectra along the way.

As I get a little older and search for work/life/training balance along with managing multiple health conditions, I decided to step away from leading a team and put my time/energy into racing on a domestic elite team next year. More to come on that later, but for now, a thank you to the sponsors, my teammates, and everyone who came out for a ride, clinic, or event with us 🫶

Bring a $5 or $10 bill and help us clean out our @ridgesupply sock inventory from past years! We have lots of these green and last years blaze orange left…sizes vary, they’ll be cash-only at the reg tent until they’re gone!

🏆 2026 Riptide-Cawes Awards 🏆

Behind every rider, every race, every podium, and every accomplishment is a team. It takes dedicated riders, supportive families, incredible sponsors, and a community of people who believe in what we’re building to make opportunities like these possible.

Our sponsors help put bikes under our riders, get them to races, provide the equipment and support they need, and create opportunities for our athletes to chase their goals. Our riders put in the work, show up, support one another, and represent Riptide-Cawes every time they pin on a number.

These awards are a small way for us to celebrate some of the athletes and people who made 2026 such a special year — recognizing not only results, but dedication, growth, leadership, perseverance, and the spirit of our team.

We are incredibly proud of all of our riders and grateful to everyone who continues to make Riptide-Cawes possible. 💙

Congratulations to our 2026 award recipients! 🏆

🏆 MVP — @s.l.defelice 🏆

What a year for Serena! 🇺🇸
From putting in the work all season to standing on the top step as a National Champion, Serena showed exactly what it means to race with determination, consistency, and heart.

We couldn’t be more proud of everything she accomplished in 2026. Congratulations, Serena!

🏆 MVP — @matdr20 🏆

Matt truly spread his wings in 2026!

After coming from the DH world in 2025, Matt jumped into XC Cat 1, endurance, gravel, and more, taking on new challenges and showing just how versatile a rider he can be.

He raced more than anyone on the team and never stopped pushing himself. What a season! 👏🔥

Congratulations, Matt!

🏆 Most Improved Rider — Evie DeFelice 🏆

Evie DeFelice has been part of the Riptide-Cawes family since she was just one year old, always dreaming of the day she would receive an aw
