You had us at dog in a bow tie 🐶

Throwing it back to K & M’s February wedding, one of those days that just felt very Bayside from the start. Relaxed, by the water, plenty of laughs, and one very important four-legged member of the wedding party.

K & M, thanks for choosing us for it. You made the place feel completely yours for the day, and we loved being part of it 🤍

10 things we want your wedding MC to know 🎤

If you’re asking a friend or family member to MC your wedding, don’t just hand them a microphone and a run sheet and wish them luck.

A little preparation beforehand will make their job easier, keep your day running smoothly and help them feel confident in the role.

1 - Make sure they know what their role actually is 🎤

Are they just MCing? Are they also giving a speech? Are they introducing the bridal party? Are they responsible for any announcements throughout the night? What time are they clocking off? Make sure everyone is clear on exactly what you’ve asked them to do.

2 - Let us handle the logistics 🙋🏼‍♀️

At Tiller Farm, our Event Managers are there to keep everything running to time, so your MC doesn’t have to.

We’ll give them their cues, make sure the important people are in the room before a speech begins, check everyone has a drink, coordinate with the kitchen and make sure plates are cleared and everything is ready for the next part of the evening.

Your MC can focus on the microphone and the guests, we’ll worry about everything happening behind the scenes.

3 - To introduce themselves to your Event Manager 👋🏽

And preferably before the wedding gets underway.

Trying to find your Cousin who’s ‘30ish, brown haired, 5’11 and wearing a black suit’ isn’t always the easiest person for us to locate when we need them! 😂

Have your MC introduce themselves when they arrive so we know exactly who we’re looking for and can easily communicate with them throughout the evening.

4 - The run sheet 📋

Make sure they know what’s happening, when it’s happening and, most importantly, what needs to happen next. They don’t need to know every tiny detail of the day, but they should understand the overall flow.

5 - Who’s who 👋

Give them a list of the key people they’ll need to introduce, along with their names and how they’re connected to you.

It can also be helpful to give them a little background on each person giving a speech so they have something to work with when introducing them.

6 - The pronunciation guide ❓

If there are names that could be tricky to pronounce, tell them beforehand. Also make sure th

For more than six years, @minderoofoundation has supported PICA’s ‘Hatched: National Graduate Show’, helping strengthen pathways for emerging artists and arts workers through one of Australia’s most significant platforms for early-career contemporary practice. As part of this support, PICA created a two-year Learning and Access Associate role designed to build knowledge, capacity and professional experience in arts education, engagement and accessibility.

Isaac Huggins, Learning and Access Associate 2025–2026, supports PICA’s learning programs, school engagement, artist-led workshops and access initiatives, helping create meaningful entry points for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

‘Working on the PICA Hub has been a rewarding opportunity to think about how audiences of all ages can connect with the ideas, materials and processes within Hatched. Developing ‘Made of Many Things’ in consultation with exhibiting artist Tali Koto has been a chance to extend her practice into a welcoming, hands-on activity where visitors can experiment, make and contribute their own creative responses.’— Isaac Huggins, Learning and Access Associate 2025–2026 @isaachugginsvisualart

Through this role, Isaac contributes to PICA’s commitment to fostering accessible and engaging experiences for diverse audiences, while developing the skills and experience needed to support the future of the arts sector.

PICA thanks @minderoofoundation for its continued support of ‘Hatched’ and its investment in the future of contemporary art in Western Australia and beyond.

The PICA Hub is made possible thanks to the support of PICA’s Community Engagement Partner, @cityofperth #cityofperth

Did you know we offer full frame sprocket scans? 🙌🏻

One of our favourite ways to scan film is by including the full negative with coding, markings, camera scratches, frame numbers and all! ✨

It’s a different way to enjoy your scans, and a nice reminder that you’re looking at the real piece of film that travelled through your camera.

How do we do it? 🤔 We scan well beyond the image area on our frontier then carefully colour correct each scan to bring the colour to life! 🤝

We’ve been offering this for years, but we’re excited to share it with more of you. It’s just one of the many things our 3000’s are capable of, over the coming weeks we’ll be showing off more of the weird and wonderful things this incredible scanner can do, so stay tuned! 🤍

If you’d like your next roll scanned with the sprockets, select ‘lenticular’ on the online form, or just let us know when you drop it off at the Lab! ✨
