LIBRARY SOULMATE has been nominated for OUTSTANDING FILM at the Nomadic International Film Festival. I’m so touched and honored by this recognition of my happy little film. Sometimes you just want art that takes you somewhere lovely — that was my aim with this film. I can’t wait to share @librarysoulmate in person on April 30th at @nomadiciff. I’m speaking on the Director’s Panel at @nomadiciff! I find it so fascinating that by the time we finish a film, we’ve learned so much in the creation of it that we’ve outgrown it, skill wise. This could be frustrating, but really it’s cool — each piece of art we make is a record of what we’ve learned. 🎥🤍

I’m looking forward to hearing and learning from my fellow panelists and sharing a bit about my experience (for example, add room tone to your shot list!!!😳)

Library Soulmate is playing at @youngstorytellers, an incredible organization that mentors kids and teens by supporting them as they write mini plays that are performed by professional actors. If you’ve been wanting to find a cool organization to volunteer with or to support, Young Storytellers is awesome.

We are proud to share our happy film with this audience and hope it can serve as some inspiration for future storytellers! Image with text that reads:
Spark by Sparkwest Young Storytellers
Our first ever film screening event featuring these works:
“Birds, Bees, and Threes”
“Disconnected”
“Library Soulmate”
“In Between the Gutter”
“Worst Case Scenario”

LIBRARY SOULMATE will make its in-person debut here in Los Angeles at @nomadiciff on April 30, 2023. We are quite proud of our all-veteran cast, including this dreamboat right here, Marine Corps veteran @jackmurilloofficial. 🤩

One of my comedy shorts was selected for the Veteran Made Film Competition. I’ll be gathering my cast and crew and shooting at the iconic @hollywoodpost43 in early 2023. It’ll be a battle of the branches like you haven’t quite seen before!

What do you think of my poster design for @librarysoulmate? Here’s a fun thing I learned making this film: MAKE TIME FOR ON SET PHOTOGRAPHY — not just behind the scenes stuff, promotional materials, too. High res pics of the scenes in your film for posters and marketing materials. Makes life sooooo much easier! 🤍

Here’s a look at the Press Kit I made for my short film @librarysoulmate when it screened at @nfmla. 🎥 I’m learning a lot about what to do with a short film once it’s made. Any advice?
