📸 RIGS MEDIA IS BACK FOR TPG 2026
If you’ve competed locally, chances are you’ve seen his work.
Rigs Media has covered a ton of competitions around here and has shot plenty of events for us over the years. Photos, video, and capturing the moments you actually want to keep.
His work is always dope and we’re pumped to have him back at the Trash Panda Games December 5th.
Make sure you find the camera 👀📸

When I was a kid my Uncle @ml_haze took me to a Florida Marlins game and we laughed and laughed at me mimicking the announcer say the name Orestes Destrade! 40ish years later, seeing people smile and laugh and get that same enjoyment is why I love being a part of the Backland Games. @trfriedl , @jessefriedl and @richmatthews23 took a leap of faith when they said let’s add a floor announcer to our competition, and for that I will always be grateful. Even though @crossfitbackland is not my home gym you all make me feel like I am a part of your community. Thanks to @rielofficial_ for making me sound good and @rigs.media for making me look good. Adding male model to my LinkedIn since @vndk8 put me in his Instagram!

What are you doing to get better the next time? Every time I announce, I think about what can I do to make the experience better? You always have to be learning. Next year, laminated notes! And confirming name pronunciations before we hit the floor… sorry, @dege2345! 😬

Backland Games 2026, 3rd year and counting!

Love this comp! (even when it looks like I’m miserable and dying in the workouts 🤪 )

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! @jessefriedl @trfriedl and @richmatthews23 run a great event and have made a truly special community at @crossfitbackland

Thank you @coach.baycarl for being an awesome partner and especially for trusting my pace on the first workout. IYKYK. Knew doing elite was going to be a challenge, but we gave it our all! Looking back our team name should have been “just hear for the handstand walks” 😅

Thank you to everyone that was around, competing, volunteering, judging or spectating!

Let’s be honest. We all want to look badass in pictures.

Thanks to a month of running, insane event programming, and a skilled photographer. Mission accomplished.

Legend...wait for it...dairy!

Fun as always to do this sport with such awesome people at year 2 of @crossfitbackland Backland Games.

@cass_swam and I ended up with a second place finish and lots of notes to add into training.

Also quick couple shoutouts:
- To the amazing crew that joined us this year: @crossfitkokua
- To @bridgetrose88 w/ @infinity_health.21.15.9 basically saving me after event 1 (IYKYK)
- To @navata w/ @boxratdesign for the baller Shirts.

And to all my fellow competitors who I feel as thou I can call friends. Thanks for making it a challenge. Can't wait to see yall at the next one!
