As a teasing for Sunday’s @neptunian.maximalism performance at @obsidiandust_belgium that takes place at Le @botanique_bxl, here's a challenging section, part of the new work in progress that we’ll present in exclusivity.

🌄 This piece is about Raag Malkauns - the Raag of the Djiins - (and some twist to Jogkauns, the old version including Shudd Ni - 7e), a late night Raag that has the power of (heart?)warming, that I (Guillaume) learned for more than 1 year with my guruji @roopapanesar. This time we took care to pay a deep respect to the indian classical music, its concepts, its theory, its rules, especially Khayal branch and some Dhrupad approaches. Bandishs are based on a Teentaal rythm (vilambit laya - 50bpm) in 16” beats. We invite you to count the beats during live, there’s many tricks coming with this! 🤘

This section is about multiples objects : starts with a (Vilayat Khan) Peshkar Chand >>> 1 Teentaal cycle of Asthayee (composition) followed by a short Jor impro in Tisra Jati >>> a Tihayi in Tisra Jati (6/1”) made by myself >>> Tisra Jati Chand >>> Asthayee >>> a short Jhalaa impro for ending.

🔥🔥🔥

The gear chain is : @bcrichguitars / @tides_guitars neck @elixir_strings >>> @pauseeffects Ichos Power Boost >>> @gamechanger_audio Plasma Coil >>> @tru_fi_pedals Colordriver 18v >>> @deathbyaudioeffects Echo Dream 2 >>> @sunn_amps Model T 2nd Gen + @simmswattsamps 100 MK1 into @peaveyelectronics 4c10” bass cab and @fender Bassman vintage Cab 2x15”

@sunnofficial was so amazing last night. These 🎥 & 📸 don’t do justice. The short metal platform I was standing on was shaking, it’s being in the experience that is always so surreal and beyond words #sunn #stephenomalley #greganderson #southernlordrecords #subpoprecords March 30th 2026
