What an absolutely insane summer this has been! Banana Ball is truly something special, and I'm so incredibly fortunate to have experienced it in the ways that I did these last few months Let's take a look back at my time as a Travel and Accommodations Intern by the numbers, shall we? The majority of my time was spent booking countless flights, preparing hotel rooming lists, sending out per diem, ordering and setting up meals, coordinating with hotels bus companies across the country, and stepping in to resolve any travel disruptions as soon as they happened Suffice it say, I was practically living in spreadsheets this summer 😅 But I absolutely loved it! This internship definitely reminded me of the power of spreadsheets, and how much I enjoy getting into the nitty gritty of travel. Even resolving a cancelled flight at midnight when it was set to depart in just a few hours with extremely limited options was fun in its own way! And of course, there was the travel too! Traveling the equivalent of halfway across the world was definitely a grind, especially having 3 cities one after the other right when I joined, but man was it a blast! The early mornings, late nights, and occasional delays were more than worth it to see this incredible country, made even sweeter with the airline miles accrued and complimentary upgrades secured too! I truly ran the gamut of stadiums this summer. From the Bananas 5,000 capacity home at Grayson Stadium in Savannah, to close to 102,000 people at Tennessee's Neyland Stadium, and from 4,500 at Newman Outdoor Stadium in Fargo to well over 44,000 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, I got to see almost every size and type of sports venue in this country Each one presented its one challenges, but getting to work at and experience all these different places was truly special I first started watching baseball in 2011, so getting to meet the guys who defined my childhood and inspired me to actually play baseball was simply unreal. AND throw my favorite acapella group into the mix too??? Only in Banana Ball could you expect to see both! Last month I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Point Park University with my BFA in Dance, concentration in Modern ✨💚 These past four years have truly been the best. So grateful for every faculty member, friend, and person I’ve met along the way. I couldn’t have done it without my amazing family and the best friends for always supporting me through everything. Excited for what’s next 🫶
