2025 has been a year full of many firsts! For the first time, the North American International Livestock Exposition’s National Championship contest took place on the green shavings in Freedom Hall. As we all know, for anyone judging in senior college it takes time, commitment, hard work, and dedication. As a team full of in-house kids, with no collegiate judging background, success at a national contest seems impossible.

To say we are proud of the 2025 MSU Livestock Judging team would be an understatement. We cannot wait to see what all they accomplish!

Took a quick trip north to Purdue University to compete in the Boilermaker Livestock Judging Contest. It’s hard to find 12 classes that are so applicable to where we are headed! Hattie & Clay put on another killer contest and we can’t thank them enough!

We would also like to ask you to keep Libby and her family in your prayers! She was more than missed this weekend but family comes first!

The 2025 team has been in full swing wrapping up the season! We traveled to Keystone, PA for the KILE! Alli at Penn State hosted a killer workout! Longenecker had some awesome sheep to sort snd even a “surprise” class of llamas. As a tradition (for the coaches) we stopped by President Eisenhower’s show barn in Gettysburg on the way home!

Thanks to Mattie Horchler and all those who made this contest a success!
