The boys and I have been talking a lot lately about how Jesus calls us to "love our neighbors." To us this has always meant our entire community and anybody come in contact with, but as we got talking more about it, Maverick brought up the fact that we don't actually know most of our neighbors who live on our street. Haha good point, kid! It's hard to love people if you don't even know them! Why not start there? I had read about a family organizing a neighborhood parade in one of Bob Goff's books and we decided to take that idea and run with it. Our parade happened to fall on Memorial Day weekend so we went with a red white and blue theme. It ended up being a really fun way to celebrate Memorial Day and get to know our community! We baked six dozen cookies and printed out these cute little invitations, and delivered them to all of our neighbors a couple weeks in advance. Then we decked out our bikes and wagon in red, white, and blue. We set up a few refreshments at the end of the road and met our neighbors for the parade. It was a very fun and memorable morning! 🇺🇸 In this AI world that we're living in, I think that real human connection is so important. As a family, we value people. And little things like this are a fun way to connect with those around us. I highly recommend you organize a parade for your neighborhood! 🤍💙❤️

There is nobody I would rather have as the leader of our family and father to our pack of boys. My prayer is that these boys turn out to be something like their amazing daddy. Happy Father's Day weekend to the best of the best. We are so blessed to have your wisdom, love, leadership, provision, protection, and fun in our lives @rileyw1! We are crazy about YOU! 🫶🏻

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Psalm 19:1 ✨ Wow. We weren't sure if we would be able to see the northern lights and had gone out around 10:30 and didn't see anything. We were already in bed when my parents texted us around 11pm that they were seeing them. We jumped out of bed and ran outside and I am so glad we did!! What a sight!! 🤩 these photos are from right out of our front door- right over our little flower farm. What a magical evening ✨ #northernlights #aroraborealis #familyfarm #toddlerlife #growingflowers #flowerfarmers #flowerfarm #microflowerfarm #pnw #yakima #startingaflowerfarm #growflowers #backyardflowers #growingflowers
