The version of the person that you miss does not exist, and I’m learning everything I was refusing to admit.

F O R B O, F O R E V E R

Bo has been with us that night. But that night was also about the people I love, respect, admire, and feel so lucky to know.

That night was for everyone. So I took it as a special quest to photograph these people — to remember what’s truly important: love, support, kindness, and determination.

For today. For tomorrow. For the people we love. For hardcore. For Chicago. For everyone.

For Bo. Forever.

I get asked by people not in the know.
“What is hardcore? Why do you go to these shows? They seem so violent and insane. Look what happened to you!”
and I never can explain it.
If you know it you know it.
Hardcore to me was last night. A community and place that I’ve never knew I was looking for my whole life and found.
My benefit show(that wasn’t my idea or put together by me) was one of the most special amazing things that ever happened. A show put together by people who’s saw me down and decided just to help. Because they WANTED to help. Because they genuinely cared so deeply about me.
It’s overwhelming. It’s kind. It’s genuine love. It didn’t make sense to me.
But Hardcore will never really make sense. It’s made up of outsiders and freaks and geeks to dance like karate and beat each other and then hug after. Where a band can scream about death and destroying the world and the next band can sing about never giving up and taking care of each other through sobriety. Yet it’s both hardcore.
And it’ll always be the love of my life, from last night forward. Breaking my face was one of the most eye opening things that could happen. To see how much I mean to so many people. To launch @guillotineentertainment and realizing how I can help the scene as much as I can in my own way.
Thank you to everyone that played. Thank you to everyone that’s donated and continues to donate and came last night, if you missed and wish to donate. It’s in my bio. I’ll never forget it.

Please remember Life is beautiful, no matter how you get knocked down. You can get up.
Live another day. Fight to survive, until world war V
