Her work has been exhibited internationally, with 10 solo exhibitions and over 200 group and invitational exhibitions in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, South Africa, and the US. I don’t want to share too much before the opening @untitledgallerytucson *but* I also want to share EVERYTHING I’ve been working on.
Two other artists - @rinayoonart and @innarohr - are sharing their stunning work, too.
AND, next door, @steinfeldgalleryandstudios has a rad(!) opening curated by @paulgold (and others?) with a ton of phenomenal work.
AND on the lower lever @subspacetucson has their gallery filled with last-chance-to-view works (I can’t wait) + open studios.

The Paper Path: From Hanji to Paper Castingwith Rina Yoon
A sheet is never just a surface. It holds the memory of its making.
In this image, the act is simple, but nothing about it is neutral.Fiber, water, motion, repetition—everything is calibrated through the body. The paper is not produced. It is formed.
Rina Yoon’s practice moves through this space—where tradition is not preserved as an image, but carried through action. Through her work with hanji, the material reveals its own logic: how it holds, how it resists, how it begins to define its own structure.
This is where the shift happens. From sheet to form. From surface to construction.
As part of our May Masterclass, Rina will share this path—how working closely with material can redirect a practice, and how paper, when approached with attention and persistence, begins to guide the work itself.
Thursday, May 21, 202618:00 CET (Berlin time)Paper Lab’ers Masterclass
Paper is not the end point.
It is where things begin.
